Sir Fenton Ramsahoye

This is one of the most brilliant families the Caribbean has produced.

In addition to Sir Fenton there are two other brothers who were both Guyana Scholars. The late Lyttleton Ramsahoye and Walter Ramsahoye both got 3 distinctions at the Advanced Level examinations to win the Guyana Scholarship.Walter is an outstanding Neurologist and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians while Lyttleton has a Bachelor of Science in Physics with honours, King's College, London, 1954; Doctor of Philosophy in Geophysics, Imperial College, London, 1957; diploma in public health engineering, University of Minnesota, 1959.

My first ever experience in parliament was watching Fenton Ramsahoye (PPP) and Sridath Sonny Ramphal(PNC) debate. Later saw some other distinguished parliamentarians, especially cabinet members, as I frequented that place from 11 yrs old.
Martin Luther? the poet, Cammie Ramsaroop, Shahabuddin et al.

We have come a long, long, low, low despicable gutter level since just watching the clips of the thug behaviors associated with the Charrandass incident.

Sir Fenton Harcourt Wilworth Ramsahoye

Reminiscing on the life of his brother, Walter said, Sir Fenton was the only one of the five Ramsahoye brothers who did not attend Queen’s College, the leading high school of the day, because he did not win a county scholarship. They also had two sisters

Sir Fenton attended Alleyne’s High School on Regent Street with the likes of attorneys at law Ashton Chase and Brynmor Pollard.
