Where is oshane thomas and leveridge? As fast bowlers... and Hodge as a batter?..
Probably best to play them in this a list game that throw them right away into a test match?

Congratulations Jahmar Hamilton! It is a great honor to come from an Island with a population of 12,000 to be captaining a West Indian Team! Take this appointment seriously and study the game and your opponents! You are a hard worker no doubt.

Bryan Charles over Cornwall? Fitness over performance?

voiceofreason 2019-01-09 20:44:23

What has Blackwood done this season to warrant a pick?

Norm 2019-01-09 22:17:34

Chemar Holder get a game for a regional team but cannot get a game for Pride. What if he takes a big bag of wickets? Same thing for the other bowlers.

What will CWI do if Vishaul Singh clap a 100 pon England?

This is 2 X 2 day matches, no more than a warm-up & batting practice for England.

Better to play Thomas, Leveridge & Cornwall in the PCL.

What has Hamilton done for that matter

Why are the Selectors persisting with V Singh? The position could have been used on a young prospect who is not in a PCL team, like Springer. V Singh is close to being a over the hill player.

More proof (if any was needed) that the Selectors are confused or just pick names out of a bag.
Devon Thomas is a keeper/batsman who has played and was discarded by CWI. Hamilton has done nothing recently. So why 2 keepers?
Blackwood was the forgotten man but has done nothing in recent times. Are they righting a wrong?
Chemar Holder cannot even command a place in the Barbados side.
And the crap goes on.

We know from experience that President 1X teams are consolation prizes, like throwing a bone to a dog. Often times a high performance does not usually means inclusion on test team. In fact, at times the test team is named prior to the match. I remember Walton scored a century on one such team which became the only West Indian century against that touring team but it didn't materialize into test squad selection. Ambris who is a member of the last test squad usually scores well in these type of warm up matches.

I think a few people need to remember that this isn't a Windies 'A' Team.

Very good point, many teams would prefer to have some of these players on their team for the PCL, that's why players like Chamar Holder, Springer, Motie should have been selected to give them exposure since they on not on a PCL team first eleven.

How many wicket keeper batsmen we need? The concept of the game is to bowl out the opposing team and so not sure if the keeps are being used as decoys
