We must fix up for a tie and share the points.I do feel that the Jam team is a much better team than their situation,TT is in a fackin downward spiral about 3 seasons now.

In reply to AcidIf we could hold things together higher up the order we could compete but we not doing that.
In reply to granite
To do that the middle order of Bravo, Jason Mohammed and Ramdin needs to perform.
Bravo looks to be out of form and Jason Mohammed seems to be on the decline. Ramdin struggles to put an innings together in white clothes cricket.
Hope and Solazano at the top of the order is a disaster. No wonder why T&T is always in trouble before 100 runs is on the board.
In reply to Acid
It's difficult to understand how we can't find 2 or 3 good replacements,we not looking for big 100s,we want boys who could show that they can stick around.I'll be happy to see newcomers fight and make 50 even 40s but they not even doing that.We can't just keep hoping that those who automically get in would fire one of these days, drop them and bring in new faces,we cyah do wuss.

Jamaica insist, they would not be outdone by dem Trini boyz, this really is not a good sign for our cricket, this is not a laughing matter for any West Indian.Only recently Jamaica was winning this tournament for 5 years on the stretch,TT was always around the first 3.What is wrong?
In reply to granite
It is why I refused to waste my gas to go to Sabina.
This match is a farce
If they had to stop play because of a wet pitch in the first innings...sounds like the pitch is a farce as well

u swap places with VoR team
In reply to granite
Even during the time of Jamaica domination, wasn't it more to do with Miller & Brown going through teams backed up by Richardson, Bernard etc. rather than the batting of Hinds, Pagon, Parchment etc?
These two teams should be relegated to the second tier "Dung Heap"

More to do with experienced players whose playing days for the West Indies were long gone.
Jamaica has not produced a good batter since Chris Gayle
In reply to XDFIX
Marlon Samuels?
In reply to Chrissy
NTM the great Pagon always rescuing the team from imminent humiliation for 5 years..
In reply to buds... aye dinosaur, we need a solution now, not the one you have in hand every time you mention Pagon.
In reply to XDFIX
what about the great Marlon
In reply to natty_forever
Natty where is the solution for this Scorpion team..None of these guys can bat for any long periods--King, Aldaine and Allen can do it but, all falling short this season..Except for King who is out injured.
I say bring in some new blood.
In reply to buds
Not sure how McCarthy gets selected time & again in the FC format, he's got a woeful record & at this stage of his career he would be better sticking to the LO format, the same could be said for Walton, possibly Bonner too.
Campbell & Blackwood need to step up when they play, Powell should captain the side, with one of the former or even Brandon King as deputy.
Has anyone seen the young lads like Carlos Brown or Dominik Samuels, are they playing any cricket at the minute?
In reply to voiceofdeception
Players in their mid-20s. Some late 20s???
People like you are laughable. I bet if you checked the ages of team dominating now, you'd find that most of their players are the same age of the players that played a pivotal role in Jamaica's dominance at the time.
Miller is 36 now, and when Jamaica had won the 2nd title in a row, it was the 2008/2009 tourney. You're good at math, right?
Samuels is 37 now. Odean is 36. Parchment is 36. Danza is 35. Gayle is 39 but was barely around to help. Hinds would probably have been the eldest of them all during the dominant period.
Now go do some addition and subtraction.
How old is Keiran Powell? Nearly 29? Time for LI to dominate innit!
Guyana's captain (Leon Johnson) is 31 now. Is he still their captain? How old did you think Tamar was during period of Jamaica's dominance? He's 37 now.
Jamaica dominated because they had a great captain who got the most of what he had at his disposal for years, and then had Nash, Hinds and Gayle all at once for I think one degge degge year. Nothing more, nothing less.
No different from what happening with other teams now who are winning with players who are good at this level and atrocious at international level.
*cough* Keiran Powell. *cough* Devon Smith. *cough* Shilly. Oh wait...allyuh STILL not dominating. Can't blame Jamaica's experienced journey men. Time to blame the ones from Guyana now.
In reply to Narper
Did Lil Shiv bat longer than both Jamaica and Trinidad?
VOR can you answer Jah Jah,or is your Math not up to scratch.
Very entertaining batting by the Jamaican openers going on right now. Wonder if this Williams is related to Basil 'shotgun' Williams cause he beatin it
Jamaica 60 without loss need 265 to win.
Oraine Williams, batting superbly, on his way to a half century....

Well played Williams...good 50 dat

Lose 2 quick wickets. Both openers must learn from Tage how to occupy crease...
//
In reply to Oilah
Really interesting tussle between the current cellar dwellers.
Trinidad roar back with 3 quick wickets including that of Andre McCarthy, standing up with the half-cock stance that leads him into an expansive cover drive... without getting across to the pitch of the ball.
Result? Caught at cover.
I am satisfied half-cock batting cramps good footwork.

In reply to Cornfused
Who would have thought that after Jamaica had them ducking and diving all over the place, wasn't TT about 6 down for about 60 or 70,our cricket is farcical and even a victory for TT doesn't give a feeling to rejoice, more reason to feel sad about the future of our cricket.
In reply to granite
just shows that it is bowlers that win matches. Once your bowling unit is firing, you always have a chance. That is why our test team must play 5 bowlers rather than packing the side with mediocre batsmen.
