Yes, its apparently true. Certain people within the circle have let slip that Virat Kohli had written to CWI to request the inclusion of Cornwall in the West Indies team last year amidst the ongoing outcry for his non-selection to the senior team.
One of Jimbo's family members also mentioned that Jimbo was supposed to be in the senior team camp for the England tour. Then Pybus gets appointed - and Cornwall back with Leewards team. Pybus is going to ruin so many players careers again watch
This would also explain part of Enoch's anger at the appointment of Pybus.

When the best current cricketer in the world personally writes to a Cricket Board, BCCI for example, would have moved mountains - but not our wicked people at CWI!
Not even Virat's questioning of Cornwall's non-inclusion, seems to have made any iota of difference. Not surprising given CWI's endless track record of treating even the biggest name Windies players such as Shiv, Sarwan etc. like dirt

How u doing bro!
Yea, i think with Pybus' appointment, the Powell exclusion is probably going to be inevitable. What many aren't aware of though, is that Enoch is a powerful force, so i don't see him just accepting Pybus' mis-treatment of Powell and that too by a foreigner who has no love for West Indies cricket and is only using us as a stepping stone.
What's troubling is that it appears that both Keacy Carty and Jimbo were being considered for the England tour, and soon as Pybus gets appointed - they not at the camp! No wonder Enoch fuming at this whole farce
When Cameron intervened in the selection process on behalf of the legend, Shiv, you guys were all over him.
Now you're heralding the meddling by a foreign entity.
Absolutely no respect for our own.
I'm puzzled. Why would a player on an opposing team write to a cricket board over the selection of a player? Since when do we take the advice of a foreign player over our own?

Judgement is a 'know it all yet know very little' Skunt!
From the time he mentioned Kohli i knew there was no truth to it.
I am surprised that Kohli would write this letter in support of Cornwall. if so, my only comment he is supporting one of our best players in years with truly top class potential and deep ability.
There is no one among our present team members who should be selected before Cornwall. For example, if we gave Cornwall the new ball he would outperform all present pace bowlers. If we asked him to bat anywhere he would outscore present players.
Not picking someone who is big boned is simply wrong.

Apparently Kholi didn't hear about Miller
In reply to XDFIX
Yes he has heard of Miller. He played against him.
