This is no surprise. Caribbean governments are scared of backlash from American govt if they show any serious support in any form to Venezuela. In the end Caricom is useless (as I always say) and spineless too.

Indeed and FIdel.

How ironic that the tools are making decisions that ultimately benefit the Russian who they nearly destroyed the country to keep out.

Some Trini's are blaming Venezuelans and Yardies
for the crime escalation in T&T.

See their response in threads.

Idiot I have both Jamaicans and Venezuelans employed and they are among the best performers and hardest workers and have had relations with ladies from both places also, and yes they were also among the best performers and hardest workers, but even they can't ignore and not condemn their own making things bad for them,I simply said they are making the situation worse, which is simple basic obvious fact.

My contributions are about fact and not agenda like how you are trying to twist the learned lady's contribution here, expect no reply from her.

Nonentity..

Venezuela deserves no sympathy, because of the way they have treated their neighboring countries, for decades.

The Venezuelan government, despite all that talk about Bolivarian ideals, has always treated ordinary Venezuelans as vassals that exist for the benefit of whatever self-proclaimed elite currently rules the country.

Today Venezuela might be suffering both at the hands of their own seriously misguided government and at the hands of US global interests, but they have the former to blame (mostly) for squandering the country's oil wealth and leaving the people in economic desperation.

In any case, Venezuela will be back to trying to steal everything from their neighbors as soon as the opportunity presents itself.

That country needs a complete overhaul and a true people's revolution, to get rid of one of the world's most crooked elites, along with the likes of the Ortega family in Nicaragua. After that, the people should choose a government that suits them, and not the elites - even if those elites choose to call themselves "criollos" - to distinguish themselves from the "enemy" European Spaniards - an enemy they have no problem emulating through their actions.
