Darren Bravo walks into the WI ODI and Test team. He is the team's best batter, although he may not in current form, be the best performing player, but he must play.

He needs one good innings to get his grove back and ALL WEST INDIANS WHO CARE FOR OUR CRICKET, MUST WISH HIM WELL AND SUPPORT HIS EFFORTS

I won't have Hemraj in the team yet though and in place of Bishoo, I will consider Miller- he has been doing better than Bishoo.

Hola...please correct your spelling..drop the "ER" and replace with "YMAN"....and then I will agree with you.

Maybe you can learn to spell KRICKIT whilst you are it because I doubt if you know anything about BAT AND BALL

Would have to be that he has been invited to the training camp ahead of the naming of a 13 man squad...

Hola...first of all he Darren B is not in the WI set up..so he he cannot be compared to any of the players that are in..
but if we must everyone who holds a bat is far superior in batting prowess than said Darren B.....He is highly overrated and should invest in a doubles wagon by the main highway..

Miller and Khan have gotten a raw deal from the selectors. They have been the leading wicket takers in regional cricket for many years but never got called or a fair chance to prove their worth.

Therefore, looking ahead the realalistic spin choices are Bishoo, Warrican, Cornwall and Chase. The fast bowlers are Gabriel, Roach, Holder, Joseph. The batting choices should be Braithwaite, Hemraj, Hodge, Bravo, Hope, Hetmyer, Bramble, Chase, Dowrich.

These are the players should be in the training camp ahead of the first test match.

Thomas, Solozano, Campbell, Chanderpaul and others still have to show consistency before being considered. Meanwhile they should be working on their game with coaches in their development.

This is just my opinion based on past practices of the CWI and the selectors and current performances and experiences of available players.

He still is the best batter despite his recent layoff and lack of form. Notice, I did not say he was the best performing- batter.

I truly believe a lot of folks have comprehension challenges and cannot understand simply sentences.

Darren Bravo is the best batsman in the Caribbean, PERIOD.

How is Bravo a better batsman than Shai Hope in ODIs and T20s? How can you say that when Hope has a higher average?

I will not argue Tests as he has a superior test average.

camos 2019-01-15 11:36:17

In reply to analyst-kid

T20s?

after 9 T20 games you are willing to say that?

analyst-kid 2019-01-15 11:56:00

T20
Hope avgs 24.71 in 9 matches 1 fifty
Bravo avgs 22.00 in 17 matches 0 fifty

ODIs
Hope avgs 47.48 4 centuries
Bravo avgs 31.55 3 centuries

Tests
Hope avgs 28.51 2 centuries
Bravo avgs 40.00 8 centuries

Even to me.

Hope is clearly better in ODIs ...Bravo clearly better in Tests.

Cannot argue Bravo is the best batsman in the Caribbean. You can say best test batsman before this English series.

The Shivmiester is still the best batsman in the Caribbean. Then it's Hetmyer.

Apples and Oranges 🍊 comparison. T20 average is hardly a leading metric as there are other metrics that are more important in that shortest format.
