I keep hearing this talk about pace and keep remembering the great Imran Khan saying that a young man would not generate express pace until he reaches over23 years old I.e until his body fills out and develops.

Thomas might be bowling at express pace, but he needs to be monitored for tissue/muscle stress, it's around the age of 23 that the body has filled out.

Look at injuries Best, Edwards & Taylor had early in their careers. Patrick Cummins & Alzarri Joseph too. Even Anthony Joshua had a stress fracture at the age of 24.

Too much, too soon and he could suffer long-term like many express pavement have.
