Coach Pybus seems to know a thing or two. He is fit and will definitely score runs. The equation doesn't lie.

What Jackassprat doesn't understand is that if yuh add up all the openers that they've tried they've way exceeded Smith 43, and collectively averaged less. Jackassprat should do his research! smile smile smile

Stop flogging a dead horse.
You would never go to bat for anyone else like that.

In all fairness to Smithy, I have been reliably informed that it was a well crafted knock.

Furthermore, it was being said that every year, Smith works harder on his game. This year, his stance is somewhat slightly different and looks more assured and more physically fit.

He is maybe the old Walshie who learned a few tricks from Stevenson, before retiring from international cricket.

When Devon scores runs the only thing that comes to my mind is that the opposition spinners are pathetic.

When ordinary international slow bowlers just make him fail over decades why would our bowlers not be able to do it?

While his detractors scorn and laugh at Smith they should look at the other regional openers.

In reply to InHindsight… it is not scorn IHS, we have proof he fails at the highest level, but relishes this level. I think a wrong was done long ago, and it cannot be righted now. Yet you brought the man back, he should have gotten a Powell-like run.
