to taking singles could be one of the main reasons other openers were failures during his time. The likes of Daren Ganga and Devon Smith were placed under undue pressure to play out of character hence making poor shot selections.

Bruh, my biggest nightmare has come to fruition. You have now migrated to the Rum Shop to infect me with your usual doses of stupidity. I have to figure out a way now to inoculate myself.

He is not getting enough attention in the Back Room.
In reply to nitro
In test?
In reply to natty_forever
Rotation of the strike is important in tests
In reply to nitro
What? You idiot is really blaming Gayle for perennially failed Devon Smith and Darren Ganga, none of whom who cannot even carry his bat?
My apology here to Chris Gayle. Someone pointed out to me he has been playing with a heart issue for years. This maybe the reason he does not take short, sudden singles.
In reply to nitro
Chris Gayle HAD a heart problem which was belatedly fixed by a simple procedure. As of since that procedure he HAS NO HEART PROBLEM.
He has a heart problem, yet he managed to spend countless hours in the gym transforming himself from a skinny youngster to a muscle bound man that resembles a bodybuilder. Very interesting.
In reply to Dukes
Oh, so he is just plain lazy.
Thanks.
Gayle went to Australia for treatment for this ailment.
I am not sure if he underwent heart surgery or he had stents implanted but a procedure was done on him.
Hence the reason why you are not hearing him missing games for that reason. He misses games because of niggles and hamstrings here and there.
It may be though that he becomes breathless with too much activity hence the reason why he does not want to take the quick singles.

Nitro you are a typical ass in the backroom and that is understandable;
but to come in the rum shop with your lack of empathy is beyond the pale.
In reply to embsallie
Not really.
Gayle knew he had a particular condition that caused his heart to speed up and go at 150 beats per minute without exertion. He was told there was a simple procedure that could cure it. However Gayle was scared and refused to have the procedure.During a test match in Australia the problem recurred and he had to leave the field. It was only then he had the procedure and has never had a problem again.
In reply to Dukes
Like I said was not sure what happened but he did undergo a procedure of some sort.
Be that as it may, anything to do with a heart that is not normal, the doctor will warn you about strenuous activities.
Happy to hear that he got that taken care of.
Oh, fact Gayle.
The man has only returned to West Indies cricket (at his leisure) to hawk the spotlight, the ravenous attention seeker he is.
No wonder the Aussies threw him outta dem pro league fi good.

True, no more potential problems for Trump so the daily demise threads are not there. POINT not only does not SHOUT anymore but he stopped posting.
Anyway this thread is about the World Boss.

It is quite a STRETCH to characterize the procedure he had as SURGERY
In reply to nitro and that would explain Ganga and Smith failures. Are you for real?
Trolling is defined as creating discord on the Internet by starting quarrels or upsetting people by posting inflammatory or off-topic messages in an online community. Basically, a social media troll is someone who purposely says something controversial in order to get a rise out of other users.
You sir are a troll. Add another to the list.
