SCORPIONS vs PRIDE at Sabina Park
In reply to Narper
Teams, toss?
Them 2 openers and Palmer, we 3 down for spit.
The way how the Jamaicans bat and how Chase and Warrican bowl this wont last long.
Just like Miller,Chase and Warrican capitalise on accurate line and length and impatient batsmen will suffer.
The Jamaican bats are aggressive while Brathwaite Brooks and Chase all patient.
Mindley doing a "REIFER!"
I create that term to mean any countryman doing damage to his own country!
In reply to natty_forever
Passenger Palmer is still in the team?
In reply to jacksprat and in charge.
In reply to natty_forever
He must offer lots of "intangibles"!!
In reply to jacksprat at least Mr. Intangibles won.
In reply to natty_forever
Are you suggesting that if Passenger Palmer had the benefit of Gayle's, Samuels' and Narine's coattail to ride as well, he would also win?
In reply to jacksprat natty leaves that one alone outside his off-stump.

Gwaan Passenger Palmer!
He must have quadrupled his season aggregate with this knock.
Can I now call him Captain Palmer now that he is steering the Good Ship Jamaica Scorpions to safe harbor after it had been battered by the angry seas?
Palmer is the new Paint !
In reply to analyst-kid
Who is the fast-bowler coach for Pride?
So many No-balls and wides, only Mindley seem to be able to bowl 2-3 good balls an over.
In reply to cricketmad
No! Paint scores runs, if slowly, and can usually be counted on to make a tangible contribution to his team's effort.
Passenger Palmer's role is more akin to that of Stowaway Sammy's: spin the toss, clap, then leave the actual cricket to others!

Where has Bonner been all this time? I can't believe all these jokers got a pick ahead of him.

Thanks to "Passenger Palmer" and "Missing Bonner" Yaad is the only side still batting at stumps, in their first inning.
In reply to mikesiva
Bonner was playing parish cricket and rediscovering his roots.

I'm curious, who is the Jamaican 'keeper for this match?
In reply to JoeGrine
Kennar Lewis
In reply to Dukes
Thanks. Jamaica has not gotten much batting production from Thomas, Williams, Lewis or Walton (to an extent).

BARBADOS PRIDE TRAIL BY 200 RUNS
In reply to JoeGrine
Walton made 453 runs at an average of 32.35 this season, which isn't great, but it's much better than most batsmen in a season when the batting has been extremely poor.
It's better than Blackwood for example. King is the only Jamaica batsman to have a better average this PCL.
In reply to mikesiva
True, however, most of those runs came in 2 innings. Just the same your point is well taken, the other wicketkeepers tried and the Jamaican batsmen have been dismal.

Paint 16 off 67 !
Paint is really going through a bad period, he should be able to score more freely at this level of cricket

TEA
Jamaica 131-2
Lewis 11
Garvey 37
King 41*
Blackwood 30*
Jamaica lead by 70 with 8 wickets in hand.
Brandon King looks capable of being a decent batsman if he works on his game and stays focus at the batting crease.
Scorpions lucky Warrican sick...this might have been done long time.
171/6 with 110 runs lead Palmer (15*) needs to stay there...Pride chasing over 150 batting last against the likes of Miller/Taylor will be very tricky unless Kraigg,Carter or Chase nullifies them.
Pride chasing 158 for victory against Scorpions
Pride 58/2 Carter 6* Brooks 28*
This dont look good for Scorpions...they have to get Carter out... a man with over 1100 runs this season is trouble once he stays there.
Tevyn Walcott is also trouble...dont know the dedication in this format of Brooks and Chase anymore.
In reply to analyst-kid
Carter was caught behind ,but not given by incompetent umpire.
As I type Frazier gets Carter caught by Lewis for 6
Pride 58/3 chasing 158
Scorpion has a good chance here Brooks and Chase at the crease with 100 runs to go.
Pride 83/3 Brooks 35* Chase 14*
Taylor 2/19
BARBADOS PRIDE NEED 24 RUN(S) TO WIN
Pride 143/6 15 runs to win
Walcott 6* Harding 0* Brooks 71
Taylor 2/23
Miller 2/39
Frazier 2/45
Walcott out for 6 147/7 11 runs to win...but remember Warrican hurt so its technically 147/8
Harding 0* with Mindley to come and Cummins
147/8.....Jamaica on the verge of a great comeback victory!
Mindley and Cummins at the wicket with 10 runs to win!
Pride needs four runs to win!
Three runs to win at 155/8
A six by the traitor Mindley and its all over!
In reply to analyst-kid
Traitor mindley?
In reply to analyst-kid
Wtf...
Gwaaan congrats Bim!!
In reply to hawk
Im poking fun....I call Reifer a traitor too
Traitor XI to play in the next first class season! Reifer to captain.
Bim v Lee gwine mek mudland sweat bricks????
In reply to che
Naw!!! Mudland had the title 4 times already, plus we know that LI couldn't do it, even if Bim beg them to!
In reply to che
Bim had the chance to secure the title last match but no Kraigg Chase and Dow rich joined the team leaving an absolutely weak top order and a team with only Carter and Walcott batting.
In reply to analyst-kid
ffs say it aint so ak...
