Very true, the sentence highlights what America has been about for decades, it says the laws usually are made to be impose on the common and the poor man and persons of colour, these persons could suffer the misfortune of false accusations, conviction and severe sentencing. However, Society in general will complain for a day about the unfairness of the Manfort's sentence and more on.

Looks like nitro was right.

This whole inquiry thing is nothing but a waste of time.

Just wait until the guy gets his time reduced for good behavior.

This would be very upsetting to anyone who believes in the foundational lies: no one is above the law and equal justice for all. rolleyes

But the Judge seemed to be caught up in politics. The minimum sentence should have been at least 7 years.

possibly, but i think the judge took into account that the crime was committed years ago, his age and prosecutorial intent. All within his rights.

you guys were hoping Manafort would bring down DT, that is the vein of your contempt for the reduced sentence. If he had implicated DT in ANY crime you would have wanted him to walk free.

Wait for the next panic attack here .... Manafort will be spending most of his time in an upscale private hospital where his family and friends can visit. De man really sick smile

so if DT were to to fined for campaign violations and Manafort gave them that..you would be happy with Manafort walking free..you cant call that justice.

black 2019-03-08 14:03:35

In reply to maj

He would not walk free, it would help in getting a reduced sentence.

Unfortunately, that is what has to be done in some cases to get to the truth.

It does, when it's the only way to get to the truth.

Would you rather see everyone walk?
