Encouragement for Mr. Rahkeem Cornwall from fans

Some famous people rightly said,
• "It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop."
• "All our dreams can come true if we dare to pursue them." [my paraphrase]
• "I never dreamed about success [24 hours a day - my paraphrase] I worked for it."

Hi Mr. Cornwall:
I have never met you and probably never will. But, I have been watching you for years through the times I am privileged to see in broadcasts. I have also followed your performances through statistics.
I am convinced that God has given you considerable talents as a cricketer. It is in your hands to use them well, consistently and fruitfully for the people who have supported and helped from boyhood. Your fans want you to aim for the “skies” and be one of the persons who bring West Indies back to # 1 in the world.
LIFE IS NOT ALWAYS FAIR AND NEVER WILL! Accept that fact! Do not use any excuse for the hunger for success in your spirit and heart.
I now feel that as hard as other cricketers practice and perform, you need to pay the price to work twice as hard. Pay the amount in sacrifice and commitment for the roughly 10 years you will have as a professional cricketer.
As to the “elephant in the room” that so many uses to overlook you. That is your weight problem. I have no idea as to the medical constraints you have. If you just continue to overeat or consume the wrong things as a professional sportsman. Stop! You are in control of what goes in your mouth. Consider minor operations as an option.
When all said and done it may be your size will always be with you. But, never use your weight as an excuse for your lack of international success. Out bat, your peers, out bowl your peers and in the field continuously rise to field standards above others.
By now, I suspect you have low emotional days. Use the quotes at the top to keep you going. Keep your goal focused and remember you were not given your cricket abilities to waste them. The ball is in your hands.
I hope other fans will send a note of encouragement to you and you will get them and read repeatedly and hide them in your heart.

big grin
