Hetty getting close to the "flatter to deceive zone".. someone needs to have a stern word with him, talent alone doesn't take you very far,a little smarts is required...

Hetty getting close to the ..
In reply to kingie
He shouldn't be playing in this crap format t this stage of his career anyway...
He better rethink going and play in the FIPL.
Hell return from India a better cricketer
Plus hell make some money, things hard in Guyana
In reply to Raskil
It's all about the money.
Shimron doesn't strike me as the sharpest tool in the shed. And his hair is a disgrace. Very talented but not alot between the ears.

Theres no golden parachute in the cricketing world
You have to look out for your future
Listen I have said it many times. He comes in and swings his bat. Sometimes he is on and everyone swoons. More oft than not he just swings and then goes through his histrionics as he makes his way to the pavillion. I had thought that it would have been possible for his loved ones to get into his head in a positive way but from the time he got the $140 million Guyana dollar IPL contract, all those around him tell him what he wants to hear so that they ensure that they benefit from his largess.

You realize that IPL and any PL is where the players are going now, right? Money and fame. There is no iffs and butss a about it.
How come Kohli plays all format and still a boss in ALL of them?
Oh wait... not everyone can be as GREAT.
In reply to bobby
Some experienced poster here says he got him under control!
If Hety plays like this , he might not make it in IPL.
The IPL environment will be different, vast amount of talent and experience to feed from if hes a willing student

Sometimes failing miserably helps one excel in the rebuilding process
It should keep him up at night

Man is Mr Popular with lots of bucks and new friends. Think it won't affect a youngster's mind?
Who has time to worry and have sleepless nights?
This is just a postulate, not knowing the specific individual.
His fielding has regressed too. Good talent but the IPL big money may weigh him down. Time will tell.

Some crazy head fella just put down an easy catch.
Some of you guys have the attention span of a roach. In 2018 Hetty played in 18 ODI's as a 21 year old.He scored 727 runs for an average of 40.39.In 2019 he scored 141 runs for an average of 70.50.
Both he and Hope have played in every single ODI since March 2018 as well as test matches and T 20.He is clearly mentally fatigued as evidenced by his numerous dropped catches.I do not believe he should have been playing these T 20 matches and said so before they started. He is now off to the IPL, then the World Cup and then the Indian tour and then CPL.
THIS IS MADNESS.
Many on this board live vicariously thru the WI team and vent their frustrations in life when the WI lose.Lemme tell allyuh something.HETTY CAN NOT MAKE YOUR LIFE BETTER. YOU HAVE TO MAKE YOUR LIFE BETTER
GET OFF HIS BACK.HE DOES NOT OWE YOU ANYTHING.
The team makes 45 and 71 and he shoulders the blame.
He has never done anything inT 20 I cricket so should not have been selected.I note that the original tour schedule had a single T 20 match but CWI thought they could sneak in another 2 T 20I and make some quick money. How did that work out?
Cameron seems to have a reverse Midas touch.
\Ian Bishop talked about managing Hetty's schedule. He should also have included Shai Hope who is overworked and has gone off the boil as mental fatigue sets in.I do not suppose that many of you understand anything about mental fatigue but that is not going to stop you from opining.Ignorance knows no limits in its arrogance.

8, 10, 14, 11*, 6, -, 104*, 20, 8, 19, 21
like I said....

Pointesque indeed!
In reply to RemainsUnknown
What format are those scores and how do they compared with other players of similar experience ?
In reply to StumpCam
I was simply looking at his returns at bat for his last 11 international innings....
and they look DISMAL at best.....
Do the FACTS hurt you bhais' feelings?
PS. I told Duksey that I saw a pattern and he [Hetty] most likely won't make a significant score after the 100*... I didn't wish him that... I just made an observation.... so said, so done...
Everyone got excuses why he continues to fail, he too young & inexperienced, etc....when you're a pro... you got to buck-up... take responsibility. don't go around saying... oh, Hope, Bravo, & even Gayle failed so it's ok for me to fail...... BS. Instead, figure out how to solve the problem.....
I personally don't think it's to play less internationals.......

NO COLLUSION!!!!!!!!!!

I dont think mental fatigue has anything to do with the way he s getting out. Had he been getting out due to lapses in concentration while trying to build an innings then I would take your point. However, what I see is a boy who believes that he cant be dropped from the team. The folks around him perhaps including the coach have probably given him that assurance. This smiling when he drops a catch or misfields is annoying. Its almost like he thinks its a joke.
I concede that Hope who has the added burden of wicket keeping deserves a rest.

2.P.P Shaw 2 tests + 0 ODI's + 0 T 20I
3.S.O Hetmyer 7 tests + 12 ODI's+ 9 T 20I
Shaw was injured, remember?
Pant was subbing for Saha. And then MS took over.
There is no way that these two other players will complain about too much cricket.
Their omission wasn't strategic, it was incidental.
I wish Hety all the best, however he really needs to work on his game.
