duh, bcuz they have the biggest populations in world cricket. same thing when lists say that cricket is the second most popular sport in the world after football. it is not that cricket is well known outside the commonwealth, but it is a religion for close to one quarter of humanity, the vast majority of that number being in the subcontinent.
