Mikey was probably joking but Pak culture within their Central Asians peoples, as opposed to Pakistan's South Asian peoples, are warrior type- the Pathans, The Tajiks etc- fast aggressive bowling is a natural outcome and is seen as an honorable and sacred thing.
If you notice, none of Pakistan's great fast bowlers were of South Asian decent- they were and are all more Central Aisan decent. Waqar is probably the only mixed South Asian bowler, all others from Imran, Safraz Namaz, Shoaib were all Central Asian decent.
