In reply to Maispwi
60 votes override the veto.
In reply to camos
59 is less than 60.
In reply to camos
Thought it was 67
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Yes
A veto in a situation were 25% of your own party senators voted against you is political suicide.
I hope he veto's it.
In reply to Jamstar
Many of the things Trump has done and continues to do is usually political suicide. Man is a Siamese cat

A cat has 9 lives eventually they will rub out
In reply to Jamstar
A cat does not have nine lives...It's a figure of speech.
In reply to Maispwi
You do know that I taught Political Science - right?
This is heading to the Courts and I dare the judges to defy both chambers of the Legislative branch.
In reply to Jamstar
And it would be even worse for the judges to side with him.

More distractions. The man doh care bout Wall...Just stalling.
In reply to Ayenmol
He campaigned on the Wall, won votes, that was his biggest signature promise. Of course he totally cares about the Wall. For Christs sake he shut the govt down in an attempt to get the funding.
Get out some more from under your rock.
Latest Gallup poll out today has him back in the 30s, 39 to be exact.
He cannot be happy with the Headlines today
In reply to Runs
He car3s for it as far as his own Political ambitions no doubt...but the man doh care that a physical wall get built.
The man came in asking for 5bil. He get wha. 1.3bil?
Now he come back asking for 7.5? Am not keeping up...but why he asking for a higher number?
What will they compromise on this time?
You think if he gets four more years thd new ask wont be 10bill?
The man go nickle and dime he way to 5-6 bill and that money will go to a ton of construction companies, and disappear...then he will blame politics and hardly any wall will be done while money gone bush.

...on the stupid and insane promise that Mexico would pay for the wall. Because if Murica pays for it, it's.......SOCIALISM!!
In reply to Ayenmol
Dude! You can't be serious with this response!
Are you well?
In reply to JahJah
yes i am...read the lead up and the response...
Sounds like the dude is putting a number on the amount of times a cat escapes by saying eventually they will rub out.
That is not the point of the saying.
The point of the saying is that because a cat is so dynamic and versatile, they escape situations where another animal would die or get seriously hurt...
If i drop a dog back first from a second story house, it will get hurt or may even die...do that to a cat it will land on all fours...but then if i do so 9 times, it won't die the tenth time...
In reply to Ayenmol
ran over a cat two days ago by accident.
I guess it time was up?
In reply to embsallie
R you sure it had used up all nine of it's lives previously?
In reply to Ayenmol
a cat does have nine lives
Vetoed..
In reply to embsallie
Nine lives ... phew ...
in my teens (round 13/14) I drowned a cat for crawling on the table and eating my whole rass Sunday dinner. I had just returned from a long day of soccer in the hot sun.
I tied a stone round its neck and dumped him in a drum ... Mfer!! I did not care how many lives he had - and hated cats even more since that occasion. No cats in my home ever!!
In reply to np
um...wow...pretty hardcore stuff.
I thought I was gonna be an axe murderer for kicking them dogs around..
In reply to np
