JUST A COUPLE OF PERTINENT QUESTIONS

POINT 2019-03-16 17:25:14

Does ANYONE here have Objections to
Players being on the WICBC ????

Does ANYONE here believe that having
Players on the WICBC would foster Harmony between the Players & the WICBC ?????

I am of the opinion that the above
would bring Harmony and acceptance
between both the WICBC & Our Players.

More important I believe that this
would bring about not only a Renaissance in West Indies Cricket
but also a deeper understanding between the WICBC & Our Players .

No objection at all.

I'll go further and nominate Bravo as the first rep. That would be just reward for his coming up with such a fitting name for Cameron, The Big IDIOT.

I have absolutely no problem with what
you have stated here . I am not aware
that there is Law or Rule that States
Players cannot be MEMBERS of the WICBC.

As I have stated here and elsewhere ,
I am firmly of the opinion that doing.
what I have stated would bridge the
chasm that both the WICBC & Our Players have had for many years .

The TT guy that was head of WIPA before WHinds was given a board seat, think he was there for a time and then quit.

I like Australia structure, with a Chairman and 4-5 private business people as directors.
Cricket is a business, and should be treated as such.
I don't know if you is aware that a number of our players have an agent, that look after them, which has nothing to do with WIPA or WICB.

POINT 2019-03-16 22:09:12

In this Forum I have continuously stated that there must be Business Persons in the WICBC .

However as I have stated on many occasions in this Forum ; Players must
be represented on the Board so that
the current Plantation Mentality that
pervades the WICBC comes to an End .

It is this asinine mentality that has created & fermented disharmony between the WICBC & OUR Players .

It is high time WE put an end to this Freaking B.S that is ruining West Indies Cricket . If the WICBC
refuses this Request , it will be
ample proof that it really wants to
continue with its PLANTATION MENTALITY ; rather than have Harmonious Relations with its Players .

BTW WAVELL HINDS CANNOT & MUST NOT

BE ONE OF THOSE PERSONS REPRESENTING

THE PLAYERS IN THIS NEW CAPACITY .

For the Record , I am not in favour
of Cameron & Wehby also being Members of the New Structure .

It is my understanding that Cameron ; Hinds & Wehby belong to the same
Cricket Club . If that is True , it
definitely explains why the Report
that was commissioned by the WICBC
is Invisible .

We can learn by reading, researching sports model of the 21st century.
The WICb is no different from the CA, BCCI, NBA, NFL, PGA or other sporting organization.

POINT 2019-03-16 22:58:47

I do not recall that the Players of
Other International Cricket Teams having disputes with their Cricket Boards before going on Tours .

THIS HAS HAPPENED TO OUR PLAYERS ON

MORE THAN ONE OCCASION ; PERHAPS THE

WICBC THINKS THAT IS A GREAT

MOTIVATIONAL TOOL ; I DO NOT BELIEVE

THAT IS TRUE .

These are Factors in my opinion ,that Must be considered regarding
the Selection of Members for the Worst International Cricket Board in
the Commonwealth , aka the WICBC .

Dinanath Ramnarine was president of WIPA and a director, that did not stop the WICB from having disputes.
The present structure needs reforming, where the directors are independent, and don't represent any regional board.

Who would select these independent directors?

Bro a number of Head hunters matches people with companies, I doubt anyone at CWI/Wicb is responsible for the annual tax filling.
Here is CA board.

Kevin Roberts, the former Sheffield Shield cricketer turned global business executive who has recently served as a Cricket Australia director and leader of its executive team, has been appointed as CA's new Chief Executive Officer.

Roberts, 46, was confirmed as the successful candidate after a global recruitment search and will take over the role after CA's annual general meeting on October 25 when James Sutherland – who has held the top job since 2001 – formally steps down.

The six nations will be the ones to appoint the directors, with the recommendations from the Head Hunters.

POINT 2019-03-17 19:45:58

This Post which I started is about
Cricket in the West Indies . It is also about the fact that the WICBC in comparison to most other Cricket Boards is a TOTAL FAILURE .

This freaking fact can easily be seen
by the fact that in its 90 plus years
of its existence , overall the WICBC
is, and has been a Total Failure .

This is mainly due to its blunt resistance to implement Changes in its Structure . Interestingly it has
commissioned Several Reports , and
bluntly refused to take on board the
recommendations of those Reports .

Obviously those in the governance of
West Indies Cricket have perpetrated
a HOAX on the People in the Region .

Now this could not have happened unless there was connivance between
the Members of ALL the Members of the WICBC & THE REGIONAL CRICKET
BOARDS .

I therefore believe that the Members of the Current WICBC & the Regional
Cricket Boards therefore cannot nor
should not be a part of the solution
of West Indies Cricket .

THEY commissioned several Reports ,
refused to implement these Reports ,
and now present themselves to have
West Indies Cricket at heart .

WE are dealing here with Cricket in
the West Indies , Not Australia , England ; India et al . Quite frankly my belief is that the WICBC
and the Regional Cricket Boards have
failed US .

The Regional Governments have failed
Us , some have even allied themselves with the Worst International Cricket Board in the
Commonwealth .

To solve ALL the Problems regarding
Cricket in the Region there must be
a Complete Restructuring of the WICBC , and ALL the Regional Cricket
Boards .

Obviously current Members of the WICBC & the Regional Cricket Boards
must no be a part of this Restructuring .

THEY HAVE HAD MANY CHANCES , AND

REPORTS , YET THEY SAT ON THEIR

ASSES AND DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING .

It is time to move on from these
People . In any case having them in
a New Structure is going to give them a license to sabotage the New
Structure .

I believe that Governments can play a Role in the Restructuring , Let me be Blunt however there are in the Region Some Governments who have chosen to Ally themselves with the
current Regime in the WICBC , and that is obviously unhelpful to Good
Governance in West Indies Cricket .

THESE GOVERNMENTS MUST PUBLICLY

DECLARE WHETHER THEY

ALLEGIANCE IS TO THE CURRENT BOARD

OR A RESTRUCTURED CRICKET BOARD .

My opinion is that People need to be Men and not Mice . It is time that
Cricket in the Region be put on a Sound and Proper Footing for the Good of West Indies Cricket .

ONLY WE CAN & MUST SOLVE OUR

PROBLEMS IN WEST INDIES CRICKET ;

BECAUSE OUR PROBLEMS ARE UNIQUE TO

US .

How are you going to restructure the CWI/WICB, without getting buy in from, The BCA, TTCB,LICA, Windwards, Guyana and Jamaica?
I don't know who you worked for, by my experience looked at Best practices, in the industry I was in.
The management there change in the 45 years, I was employed
So to sit at home, thinking that West Indies cricket, should only look at ICC affiliates and not other sporting organization, you will be looking at a very small sample.
How would you handle players preferring to play in T20 leagues, during an International tournament?
BTW, Cricket Australia has seven directors and a Chairman, they are all independent, but CA consist of all Shield teams.
