Abdul Aziz was in the Linwood mosque when the shooter opened fire during Friday prayers. Seven people were killed there, and 41 at Masjid Al Noor Mosque. One person later died in Christchurch hospital.
Mr Aziz picked up the first thing he could find - a credit card machine - and ran outside screaming "Come here!"
Mr Aziz, 48, has been praised for saving many people inside by leading the gunman on a cat-and-mouse chase before scaring him into speeding away in his car.
But Mr Aziz, whose four sons and dozens of others remained in the mosque while he faced off with the gunman, said he thinks it is what anyone would have done.
A gunman has killed 49 people in terror attacks at two mosques in the deadliest mass shooting in New Zealand's history.

Thanks for sharing. Thus far the stories are few and this perhaps the first we have of a step by step action,
I bet there is more that will come out, we want to hear about how the police apprehend him for example.

You know what really upsets me - many of these people worked so hard to achieve their professions and they are slaughtered by ignorant white trash who believe just being white makes them superior.

Haters like that poster are such cowards they hide behind opposite symbols- notice his handle- "JahJah, a name associated with a movement that preaches "live and let live" love, peace and brotherhood.
