'Triple Package,' Ethnicity and Success.

The Tiger Mother professor is back -- this time with her husband, Jed Rubenfeld, also a Yale law professor -- with a new book, The Triple Package (Penguin Press) that combines discussion of race, ethnicity, success and education in ways that have ignited debate even before its official release today.
The "package" refers to "three unlikely traits" that Chua and Rubenfeld argue "explain the rise and fall of cultural groups in America."

Can a "Triple Package" of Personality Traits Explain Success? The “tiger mother” thesis is refuted by science.

If Chua and Rubenfeld’s theory can’t explain the success of certain groups, then what might? Hart and Chabris point out that, although it seems appealing to think that we can identify a group of learnable traits that determine success, there is scant evidence for such a formula. The idea of a “triple package” may seem compelling because it seems to fit with our own personal observations and common stereotypes about immigrants. In addition, the theory meshes well with the belief that success depends on one’s hard work and personal qualities, rather than one’s circumstances. But, as best we know, success is best explained by such unsurprising factors as being smart, being conscientious, and having the good fortune of growing up in a financially stable environment.

I would bet my bottom dollar (dont have much!), that it is someone of a liberal socishitist Demoncrap's persuasion who's trying to debunk the good lady, Amy's theory, observational patterns, etc. Done.

You are displaying all the characteristics of a Kool-Aid drunk. Scientific research is not your cup of tea, but bias observational “alternative facts” you imbibe with a flourish.

Africans are very resilient people,I have known many boys and girls whose moms and dads came from Africa, almost all these children wanted to be doctors, lawyers teachers etc,and believe it,they all succeed.
