The late former president and West Indies opening batsman Alan Rae whom I admired greatly was a formidable president who worked tirelessly using his own funds to keep West Indies cricket at the top of world cricket. West Indies cricket was his first priority. He was a very well respected West Indian/Jamaican whom I had the greatest honour and pleasure to work with. His commitment and dedication to West Indies cricket was unquestionable and I believe that Mr Skerritt will emulate those qualities,” Lloyd said.
The highly respected Lloyd who forged the great West Indies teams of the late 1970s through the 1980s, also said there was a necessity for fixed terms for those holding the top positions in CWI.
“We need a fixed term period of office for the presidency of three or four years. In America it does not matter how effective or successful you are, you can only serves two terms. By having a rotation policy it inspires other individuals who are suitably qualified to prepare themselves over a period of time and a chance to aspire to attain such high office also the opportunity to project fresh ideas.

What I find amazing is all the great WI players who clearly love WI cricket,prefer Skerritt to Cameron.I have not heard any great former player say they want Cameron to continue as President.

The JCA will be like the horses' arse if they don't vote for Cameron. They nominated him. They shouldn't have.
NEVER liked Cameron. Perhaps he is a good guy but I find it hard to like him. Waste Indies deserve him because of their
culture.
From what I have seen, heard and read, Skerrit seems a more suitable man to head the Board. BUT he will not be elected.

Can the board be reform, after refusing to make changes, to the many recommendations, of the Reports they paid for?

Hola...dis time nah lang time......cricketers today are paid extremely well..granted those in the West Indies are not making as much as their international counterparts...
but quite a few of our boys have made it big and are earning top dollars.
An older adult cricketer cannot offer anything new ..
sorry thats the way I see it..
Time t move on...instant pot...put your ingredients and walla food finish...no time wasting cooking..
This is a different era...the past is the past...
dis time nah lang time..
Nursing home ...let the old boys enjoy their winter years ..play dominos or just eat and sleep...nothing to offer..
these guys need an elevator to go one floor up...and people calling for them to be in the mix of things.
