I read about the JAG Smith one who i was told is the only one of the crooks to face jail time but i remember the one with PJ and Shell, the one with my MP Blythe, several with Paulwell and the PNP and Trafigura.

They need to send these crooks to jail.

They told you wrong. Simmonds went to jail at the Richmond Prison Farm. I believe Malcolm and "Puss" Lewis also served time. Issues around selling farm work tickets and selling state secrets.

Which reminds me ... there was also Sir Harold Allen, wasn't there?

Chrissy 2019-03-20 21:43:02

The only reason for this urgency is that bye election in less than two weeks

Corruption in Jamaica.

A marathon meeting of the Jamaica College board, which finished late last night, ended in a stalemate as executives were warned that they did not have the authority to fire Ruel Reid as principal even as some senior members want to set the government discard loose, The Gleaner understands.

The board will request that the Ministry of Education, which now falls under Prime Minister Andrew Holness, have Reid fired as soon as possible, a source told The Gleaner last night.

Reid should forget about returning as principal of Jamaica College until and unless he is cleared of corruption allegations, prominent old boy and benefactor Gary ‘Butch’ Hendrickson has told The Gleaner.

The philanthropist, a member of the Jamaica College Foundation and chairman and CEO of Continental Baking Company Ltd, said last night that Reid, who was forced to resign as minister yesterday over corruption allegations, should await completion of investigations before considering a return as principal.

Those men who sold farm work tickets and state secrets in the 40s and 50s were jailed promptly by Busta.

But people had it to say it was because they did not share to loot with him!
