WI vs India later this year

India, not for the first time in its history comes up against a WI with a formidable pace attack esp in their back yard.

Roach, Gabriel, Holder ( all avg sub 20 against Eng in the last test series), and Joseph backed by a battery of young lions in Paul, Thomas,Harding and Cottrell represents an uneasy challenge for the Indian batsmen no matter how great they are projected to be.
Nobody esp traditional India likes four fast bowlers all good wicket takers in their backyard coming at them.

But this time WI weakness lies in its batting. Never before since the 50s, 60s, 70s 80s ,90s, 2000s. has WI failed to produce batsmen who ate the Indian bowling for its supper spanning from Everton Weeks to Clive Lloyd to Lara AND EVEN Hooper, Adams, Chanderpaul and Sarwan.

Can one of our batsmen hit a purple patch and ensure this series is a great victory. Can Holder Chase and Dowrich be a middle order block to India's success? Can some top order bats emerge? Can Hetmyer lead the HISTORICAL Guyanese powerhouses against Indian bowling?

For all the Hooper critics out there he avgs 48.46 against India with 5 centuries.

Interesting Fact: Roach with 184 wickets@ 27.17 has never played against India in a home series with a solitary away test. Furthermore all three Wi test pacers Holder Roach Gabriel all avg sub 25 in their backyard with Joseph avg 26 but none of them have ever done well against India in the handful of tests they have played against India!

India will present a different challenge with batsmen the caliber of Pujara and Kohli. They'll have to do their homework to nullify those two. The other, I think, can be controlled.
