I guess Rahane has gone the route of Che from the selectors point of view.

Karthick chosen over Pant
Must have been a tough decision to make.

It was and it was explained.

Look, Dhoni was on the squad as first choice WK... he continues to prove himself.

It was down to Denesh or Pant as the back-up.

The explanation is that when finishing the innings, Kartik has proven he can do it with a more level-head than Pant in the recent past. So Kartik got the nod.

Pant tends to throw his wicket away plenty of times 'as that's how he plays' kinda like Hetty.....

Since Pant is young, the selectors have time for him and he should only get better & learn from this.

PS. I will watch ANY Team with Kohli in it.... even if the rest are 10 Sammys who just jump and clap..... lol lol lol

Rayudu was left out in favour of Vijay Shankar, who, in the words of the chief selector, brings "three dimensions" to the side. A day after the said selection, Rayudu tweeted: "Just ordered a new set of 3d glasses to watch the World Cup." It was followed by a winking and a smiling emoji.

Nope....Dhoni is 50% cappo from behind the stumps.
The great Bishen Singh Bedi said so.

Overlooked your post and this.

....

Just my personal exaggerated preference to watch Pant, but NOOOOOOOOOOOO00000000 to bolded stuff above.
Big difference. Hety has problems with skills as well as shot selection, plus temperament and......
Pant Takes the game to the opposition and might get out doing it and that's ok with me.
Don't disagree otherwise.
Dhoni makes it on merit and as someone says, his head. Even if not, he should not be Shived, discarded like used tampon after all his service and entertainment.
I like Karthik since as a teenager his mother moved back to India, with father working in middle east, so he could play competitive cricket.
Chubby Boy then, Parthiv was in contention for the job but Dhoni came along and surpassed both of them.
Dinesh Ramdin has really matured playing with level head and still being able to smartly put the ball away. So the two keepers earn their place.
Pant could have come in as opener or #3 during field restrictions and take the bowling apart. Just my wish for a different dimension to the game, for spectator like me.
Again, my opinion for whatever it is worth.
cool

Goofy, I am picking India for the finals.

Loads of talent and BCCI will buy the umpires & the World Cup, and Kholi some cheap hundreds, and Bhuvi and Shami cheaper wickets.

Get the point? Let me say it for them fellas who are dying to spill it. lol lol lol
