He will be included but who sits for him that's the problem. Benn Stokes already says he must be in cos he's ( stokes] place is secure others questioning his admission are less sure about their selection.
anyway when he walks in that dressing room he needs to deliver but due to disharmony in the camp they won't win the tournament.
he is a fool to be a pawn in their 'game'
For the racism folk......Kevin Pietersen anyone?
I'm struggling to see why he wants to play for England. I really do.
In reply to Raggs
Has Archer been following how they treat heir own black England footballers?
In reply to Larr Pullo
There's a player who plays for Spurs called Rose who proclaim he can't wait for his playing days to be over. Racist dem warm up his backside home and abroad. Archer must know bout that it was front-page news and widely discussed in the media sport wise and nationally.
In reply to Jumpstart
I think it has more to do with persons considered outsidersbut that does not exclude the fact that there may be some racism involved.
Archer should play for England and there is no doubt that he will. However, he would be sorely mistaken to think that these Englishmen would accept with open arms, a hairbraided, big-gold chain wearing, black man with a heavy Caribbean accent.
Mind you, I do not think his decision should be based on whether or not they accept him.
In reply to JOJO
Er no.......in the days when SA was banned, nobody had a problem with saffers ccoming to england to play for their teams re: robin smith, allan lamb, tony greig. Even in recent times:kp, keiswetter, keaton jennings, matt prior, andrew strauss...list goes on and on. In my humble opine, i only see one difference. But archer will have to live with that decision
English fans always looking for white heroes, for the life of me could never see Lampard and Terry playing all that time.

Jofra quit on West Indies to play cricket with racists? And he will persist with the racists and never even consider playing for West Indies?
This makes you wonder WHO is really being racist here.
In reply to Norm
Shhhhhh........
In reply to JOJO
But JOJO Allan lamb didn't pass through England's ssystem. He played for Western Province-a AS first class side first appearing for them in 1972, two years after SA' s ban. Robin Smith's first club was Natal. They didn't pass through the system brother

Why should they select an on the fence Bajan, who is a nomad?
In reply to Khaga
Just like how your India adopted the Trini that coaches Mumbai
Did he not play for India also?
a friend would like to know?
I think Archer is being naive about English acceptance and, his reasons for turning his back on the West Indies is well documented but very thin.
I conclude this is not a critical thinking person. Who are his advisers anyway?
In reply to Raggs I feel no sympathy for him. He complained how west indies let down and so he went to England as if they would accept him, before other fast bowlers. Which are English. What does he think is going to happen to young English fast bowlers who was born in England? I would complain if I was an English fast bowler to see all that work I put in and then suddenly, some one came from no where and is picked before me.
In reply to sgtdjones
He swam back to India and begged for forgiveness.

Hola...and the West Indies never profess racism and biasness???
I keep saying all of you who shouting will you guys pay him what he is about to earn going forward???
He will come back to Barbados as a very very very very rich black person...so you guys just shush..
What you guys want him to supplement his earnings by waiting on tourists???
By the way how racist is that???And class centred???how come you guys not picking on that for all those in the tourist industry who are ridiculed by the white tourists every minute......why are you not asking those workers to find other employment...look Archer gwaan and earn your dollars and come back and be like a white tourist..
Adios

In reply to CITYBOY
if he is paid well the racism becomes easier to ignore in a controlled environment. In this world it is impossible to avoid dealing with racism and its effects.
In reply to sgtdjones
Well India didn't really adopt Robin Singh. He went to delhi to read for an Economics degree. He like jofra passed through the Indian system and earned a call for India. Fantastic fielder by the way. Big six hitter too. And I rate him for keeping the Trini accent
Archer big problem was that de WI selectors didn't pick him for the U19 world cup..
Oshane Thomas didn't make the WI U19 world cup squad either but now he's in the senior WI team now.. man like he blind and all like he can't see how they treating his best friend Jordan?
In reply to sunfish
I can conclude from your comments that you are merely speculating not thinking at all.
In reply to anthonyp
Total nonsense.
In reply to doublecentury
Well even the writer alludes to it. He mentioned that nobody is complaining about Joe Denly who last played an ODI ten years ago and has gained selection to the world cup squad.......while archer who is the talk of the town in each league he plays in is the subject of moral considerations
