R Ashwin said he would have liked to bowl as well - also because of the dew but he's happy to bat now and hopefully put a good score on the board. He says left-arm "mystery spinner" Harpreet Brar is in as well as Sam Curran for Nicholas Pooran

Lamichhane to Rahul, FOUR, it's all one-handed from KL and he's getting the runs as well, flighted delivery outside off, he bent down low, used the bottom hand and then swept it over square leg for a boundary
1.1
Lamichhane to Rahul, SIX, massive, that's one way to greet the leg-spinner, Rahul backed away, lost his bottom hand but still has enough power to send the swipe high and over long-off for a maximum

Lamichhane to Gayle, SIX, going, going and gone. No respite for Lamichhane today. Flighted just outside off, Gayle bends his back knee and slog sweeps it high into the night sky. These Kotla boundaries are not big enough for the Jamaican, for that matter which ground is

Caught over the boundary...wow.....throw back in and caught by another
12.2
Lamichhane to Gayle, out Caught by Axar!! Stunning work! This is the perfect definition of team work by Ingram and Axar. Lamichhane has traveled a lot but will be relieved to see the back of Gayle. The wrong 'un which is fraction short, Gayle does not get enough power behind the pull shot, skies it to deep mid-wicket where Ingram is waiting, he takes it right on the edge of the boundary cushion and since the momentum was taking him over, he threw the ball all the way to Axar near long-on. The back hand flick was just perfect as Axar didn't have to move much. Huge moment in the game.

Lamichhane to Sam Curran, out Caught&Bowled!! Second wicket in the over. What a day Lamichhane is having. Belted by KL, picked his wicket. Smashed around the park by Gayle, sent him back as well and now picks another. The googly which sticks in the surface a tad more than Curran expected, he is early into the back foot push and lobs a dolly back to Lamichhane. He flings it up and pumps his fist. Boy isn't he delighted.

Lamichhane -
Honestly, it was tough to bowl tonight because of dew. Bowling to Gayle in the powerplay was challenging, he played really well, hit us out in the batting PP. I thought we did well after 10-12 overs. I was looking to make him slog, trying to get him caught, but everything turned into gold for him today. I think 164 is a good total to chase, there's dew on the ground and it should help our batsmen.
