Why?
In reply to Walco
He is not going to get the nomination.
In reply to Kay
Gotta wonder if metoo will look unkindly at Joe.
Oh I almost forgot who is President.
Is like yall really want 4 more years of Trump...
Biden?
Really...
Then again it's more like Trump v MSM rather than the Dems.
In reply to Walco
LOSER
In reply to nitro
Why? Because he will easily beat Trump in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin ...
In reply to black
This is a different race from 2016. Dems want someone who can win. The rookies on show do not have the goods and Bernie is Bernie. He still has a problem with Black women and that will prevent him from winning the nomination
In reply to Kay
Lots of shots were taken at Hillary and she still won ...
In reply to nick2020
There you go Nick. Biden's shortcomings pale in comparison to those of Individual One

The leaders will emerge when they get on the debate stage. For now, it's all name recognition.
In reply to black
Apparently you have not seen Biden debate before ...
In reply to Walco
Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren...feel the Bern!
I will back Biden
In reply to Walco
Apparently you have not seen Biden debate before
Yes, I have seen him debate before and I have also seen him make two unsuccessful attempts.
In reply to black
It was Biden's debating skills and wisdom that got him selected to be Obama's vice president. Things will be different now that he is running after serving as VP
In reply to Walco
No it was not, they wanted someone older and with experience in DC to be VP. He was the only one to fit that description since there was some bad blood between Hillary and Obama's supporters.
In reply to mikesiva
I like Warren but I am not a Sanders fan, probably because his supporters can be very obnoxious and overbearing. Maybe I should not hold that against Bernie The next election should not be a choice between Trumpism and "Socialism" or "open borders" verses a big beautiful wall, but it will be about those things with Sanders and Warren as the nominees. Not so with Biden.
In reply to black
Who is the "they" you are referring to?
In reply to Walco
The people that handled Obama's campaign.
David Axelrod, David Plouffe, etc
In reply to black
Ok I remember Obama himself say in an interview that he grew personally fond of Biden during the presidential debates.
That there is a perfect argument for the selection of Clinton as VP instead of Biden
In reply to Walco
Biden been in DC forever
Biden is a foreign policy expert par excellence for those who do not know.
In reply to Runs
Biden is not a bad guy but I'm not going to vote for him.
In reply to Runs
Can you imagine a debate between Biden and Trump? Biden: "What's the name of Kim Jong Un's father Donald?" Trump: "Kim Jong Uno? ... No no no Kim Jong Dos"
In reply to black
Who will you vote for if Biden win's the nomination? Name your candidate boss. Don't be shy
Hola...Biden will not gain traction...
he is finished without starting..
"I am woman hear me roar..I aint voting for no old fart who think I am a whore"
That is the mantra that will leave him at the starting gate,,,besides..I dont know why people Biden bright.
Adios

In reply to Walco
Of course I will vote for him if he wins the nomination.
I'm leaning toward Beto but I'll wait until the debates.
In reply to Walco
I did that sometime ago. So if you do not know the baggage that Biden has then do due diligence and change your mind.
He is unlikely to win the nomination and if he does he will be destroyed by Trump. Get your sheckels(dollars) ready for a bet.
Make it as big as you want.
In reply to black
Bossman taking on Trump is not a job for a Rookie
In reply to hubert
Judging from news reports and the number of tweets about Biden Trump seems to disagree with you but time will tell. I have been following Biden since his 1987 campaign and the plagiarism scandal. The great thing about Trump is that when it comes to baggage everyone else has carry-on while Trump is checking two suitcases. Biden and everyone else is an angel in comparison. Biden can reach the working class whites in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin that Clinton could not.
I'm not a betting man, but perhaps you could entice openning to put a wager on the 2020 race. Apparently after a friend told openning that Leon Spinks had beaten Ali, openning was so incredulous that he bet the same friend $100 that Ali had won. Mind you, this bet was made after the fight had finished

I think Trump is going to severely weakened by the obstruction of justice allegations, Biden's challenge is going to be within the party.
Biden has already baited Trump into doubling down on that good people on both sides statement regarding Charlottesville. Keep picking on that scab Joe ...
In reply to black and Walco
Hopefully we will live to see how things pan out.
Both Biden and Bernie will be weak candidates. Bernie cannot and has never attracted minority votes in the South.. Check his run with Hillary. He is a
New England strongman..but his simplistic ,socialists ideas will not wash in middle America. And his silence on both Israel; and his his wealth which was a secret until last month, suggest that he is not credible in the new politic dynamics. What really is his base ?
Biden has and will always be a weakling. His sell by date was three years ago. He should have man up and take over from Obama(perhaps understandably) instead ) using his son's death to remove himself from running. His political fortunes were revived by being Obama's VP but he did not capitalize on that successful * years.
Instead a Dotard won and build and is building on a a sound economic platform forged by the Oman and of which Biden could have claimed heartily too.
Now on what grounds is he going to challenge Trump ? Economy ? No; Nastiness ? NO. Racism and mood of the country ? . America does not care as much./ Me Too movement.? Joe look at your big toe ...Toughness ? TRUMP got that and Joe you aint no tuff guy . Ask Orin Hatch who took over the chairmanship
of the Judicial Committee hearing for Justice Thomas ...
Joe. How will you beat Trump. Pennsylvania and the Tri State area will not do it. You will need Florida and Ohio another neighbour State where you are not popular.
Joe you could lead the Democratic party into oblivion as from my vantage point, your time has passed.Today's USA is not the same as when you started.
Anyhow, Good Luck. NONE left Town two years ago..SLIM ?.????
In reply to hubert
There's a lot to digest in that post, but I will ask one question. Why do you think Trump's popularity has not touched 50% during the past 2 years with this great economy of which you speak? The guy is toxic and virtually all of the people running for the Dem nomination would beat him if the election were held today.
In reply to hubert
Good points you make here hubert. Biden indeed has some fatal flaws.
Nevertheless, while I obviously am not making any predictive statements at this stage 18 months before the election because I know that a week is a long time in politics, I can see a big move of the voting populace to him.
A big portion of Obama's popularity was that he was light coming to erase the darkness of the Bushes. That's what he represented and that is the reason behind his Nobel Peace Prize.
I don't think Biden is going to get a Nobel Peace Prize but he is certainly getting and going to get the support of the millions who liked his easy-going, aw shucks bromance with Obama and see him as the antidote for Spanky Toadstool.
But who knows what will happen.
//
Early polling showing Biden with a huge lead (20+ points) over his Democratic rivals. One poll has Warren in second ahead of Bernie. Every time I hear Warren speak I like what she says. But this is a head election, not a heart election. Too much at stake for this country and the world.
See why Biden will be the nominee? He is beating Trump by 11 in Pennsylvania. Biden is stronger than any other Democrat in states that Trump must win to gain reelection.
Quinnipiac Poll
All the best people? Didnt daddy buy his way into college also?
Republican senators came away unimpressed from an immigration meeting with Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner and privately questioned whether he even understood the issue, the Washington Post reports.
In reply to black
Reminds me of the comment which goes something like this, "Hope will get people to like you and attend your events but they may not vote for you. Hate will get them to the ballot box."
In reply to hubert
My dear friend, I noticed that you have studiously avoided predicting who is going to win the democratic Nomination despite several entreaties to do so.I suspect that is because you are unwilling to do so lest it be shot down by logical arguments. Therefore I will add my voice to those imploring you to name who you think is the best person the democrats can name for the nomination.
My choice is for a Biden/Harris ticket.
In reply to Dukes
That VP spot was already promised to Stacy Abrams
More than two months later and not much is changed. Fox News poll shows that Biden is beating Trump by 10 points nationally and eight points in Ohio. Biden is strong and states that Trump needs to win for reelection. Im staying on the Biden train, but I want him to adopt all of Elizabeth Warrens policies after becoming President
