Think it was more a financial loss than a low crowd support.

Have they forgotten that it rains in September in the Caribbean?

It doesn’t rain in Florida?

According to Russell, the decision to chop the number of international players allowed per team is in a bid to maintain the ‘Caribbeanness’ of the tournament.

As in, shoddy and second-rate?

Russell always complained that it was not a home crowd there for his team although so labelled. Said it was Guyana crowds.
That's because Guyanese, never how poor dem is, spend money well, unlike their previously oil rich neighbor who legend has it are rated amongst the tightest in the world. razz

Chopping international players to cheapen the whole tournament.

I go to watch stars and not be a hypocrite saying I support nincompoops because they come from my land of origin. Pay good money for good stuff.
I don't pass away drunk like most whose primary reason is to go get drunk and not necessarily watch or appreciate that standard of cricket.

Also, when Guyanese migrate to the US, they remain cricket fans. I have good friends who are Trini and Jamaican living in Florida, and they're soccer fans. They're not interested in cricket any more.
cool
It's a good move for Jamaica to stop staging matches in Florida.

Let the Guyana Amazon Warriors stage their matches there.

And I support the move to have only four international players in the starting XI. The same as the IPL....
