India favoured over England to win it all
LARA: Consistency is key for Windies at World Cup
West Indies and the world batting champion Brian Lara and his daughter Tyla.
The West Indies senior mens team holds an outside chance at winning the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup in England and Wales which bowls-off on May 30 but must improve on its consistency according to West Indies batting legend Brian Lara.
Speaking at his residence at Chancellor Hill in Port-of-Spain yesterday, Lara, who holds the world's batting record of 400 Test runs, gave the regional team the dark-horse billing for the tournament, warning that the regional team could struggle in the World Cups new format, which requires the ten teams to play against each other in round-robin matches during the preliminary stage before moving to the semi-final.
My dark-horse is the West Indies. They just crept into the World Cup by winning (qualifiers) in Zimbabwe, so Id love to see West Indies clinch it.
