TT Under-17s beat Jamaica for 2nd win

MIDFIELDER JAIYE Sheppard scored twice to guide TT to a hard-fought 3-2 win over Jamaica yesterday, for their second straight win in Group E of the Concacaf Under-17 Championship, at the IMG Academy, Bradenton, Florida, United States.

Mexico trounced Bermuda 5-0 in yesterday's other match. TT and Mexico will meet tomorrow to determine the group winner. The top three teams in the group advance to the round of 16.

Jamaica opened the scoring in the 17th minute through Cristojaye Daley, who collected a cross from the right and slotted home past TT goalkeeper Isaiah Williams.

But TT replied in the 34th when Sheppard, on the left, went full stretch to meet a right-sided cross and finished from close range.

In reply to sgtdjonesI have to say congratulations to TT Under 17 because beating Jamaica doesn't usually happen at any age group.

thanks for the update, meant to search for it but was sidetracked ,saw US beat Canada by the same score and wondered about the other games!
