thinking so myself. maybe Gayle needs to bat around #5 and others upfront run those tight singles to build up the score in its early phrase.

I've been thinking this for a while, but Gayle doesn't strike me as the type of man to be ok with batting down the order, unless Vaas bowling

It should be fairly easy to run Gayle out and get a serious batsman in. Wait until he calls for a real comfortable single start running, then halfway across turn back and race him for the crease that his partner just left...

But Pullo as a man of logic, if Gayle turn back, Gayle must be running to the crease Gayle just left. Gayle can't "turn back and race him for the crease that his partner just left."
