Despite all I've seen, and I did see this 170. He's not my iseal opener. He belongs at 3.

Straw man argument ....and yet you use it for an entirely gratuitous attack on Denish ramdin...this shows what a small minded obsessed ‘person you are...such a shame you continue with this personal vendetta...I wonder if anyone knows what Ramdin did to you that has affected your mental health.

For the avoidance of doubt I don’t recall anyone suggesting Shai Hope should be dropped...some have suggested he give up the keeping to help his batting...some suggest he should not open because he is better at 3.

Jason holder and shai hope are two of the genuine international class players we have in all forms of the game.

I have never seen Hope but I know traditionally the best West Indies
batsman is usually the one that is not currently in the team!

Let Hope play in the A team first, and make that progression, step by
step....
The problem is this...what plans does the WICB have for the A team?

clifford 4/17/15 4:18:29 AM
Because they are West indians, if you remember they wanted Kirk Edwards
to be captain after his 2nd test match. By next week they will want Simmons
fired, Dowrich keeping, Bravo and Roach dropped....well you get the drift. If
they had their way Blackwood would not have started the 1st test either.

Why some folks in such a hurry for Hope???
They're living in Hope, and I won't mention Constant Spring.
Sorry Pollo, that's a reference to a Yardie adage.

see if you can find hidden in any thread why BDB hate Ramdin so. cause who knows maybe something slipped out a few tears ago and we never noticed.

Looks like the numbers say he is excellent opening in ODI.

Lots of crow for us to eat.

Yeah, I cussed Shai nuff times in the past...I don't deny that!
lol
But it's good to see Shai fulfilling his talent in the ODI arena. I'm really, really happy to eat crow on this.

But his average in Test cricket still doesn't do him justice. He needs to work on that....

Also, that strike rate in ODI cricket could potentially become a problem, depending on the match situation.

Wasn't Ramdin Brung's replacement in the WI set-up?

From my recollection, Ramdin showed up just after Brung's heroics (with Braddie) at the World championships.

If my recollection proves correct, then that would be 'justified' cause for the hostilities.

What stops him translating his one day form to test matches?

Larr Pullo 2019-05-06 14:20:39

In reply to Banner

Isn't ODI bowling more predictable, plus there are fielding restrictions in play?

Banner 2019-05-06 14:22:26

But he looks a completely different player.

All the best players perform in both formats.

I think he'll come good eventually in tests. I mean he scored a ton in each innings in a test match in England already...it's just a matter of time before he figures it out. Dowrich is a better batsman though, and I don't understand why he isn't in the ODI frame.

Dorwich indeed is pleasing on the eyes. I he'd be given opportunities to deliver

You simply said "Shai Hope has the goods and he should be persisted with."

I filtered out the positive comments and they were very few. But there are plenty, plenty negative comments on Shai Hope.

You done know I would archive these threads on use them when moments like these arise.

Now that Bishoo has been dropped (permanently), I will slowly introduce the supporting comments from the foolish virgins who defended his lack of a googly and hence contributed to his demise.

lol lol lol
