The opening pair put on a century stand easy peasy...and you don't toss Carter the ball, just to give them something else to look at?
Dibbly dobbly medium pacers like Carter can usually cause a little discomfort in the conditions they were playing in

Holder's captaincy at times, really is baffling
Let me also point out...i didn't watch the game..I'm just looking at the scorecard.
How you bowl out Chase, when Cotterel and Roach still have 3 overs left when your only chance to win is to bowl out the opposition?
Yes Holder does things like that a lot, he under bowls Bishoo, Rovman Powell, Carter whenever he plays, all these guys have the knack of breaking partnerships.
I remember Wavell breaking partnerships for Lara often.
I seem to remember Wavell having a match winning performance or two with the ball when we won the Champions Trophy, all because Lara had to try someone else with the ball when we needed wickets

Especially when u consider the success Dwayne Smith had bowling against Bangla.
Do you leave gabriel out, this odi game will only cause his body to break down.

Two questions. Do you play cricket? And are you the captain of your team?
In reply to Walco
No and no.
Relevance?
Let me guess..if i have never captained, i have no business criticizing?
This is why Gayle was given vice captaincy. Gayle is very experienced and could give holder good advise
In reply to DIEHARD
No no no boss. I was just curious whether you have ever put your strategies into practice. Captaincy is an art, not a science.
Hola...Holder is ok as an all rounder...he can hold his own...but captaincy is not his forte...
I said Gayle should captain...Gayle has already indicated that Holder is not that good as captain..
Gayle as vice c will obviously butt heads with Holder.....
Shai H dont need no vice thingie...he needs to just play freely and let others do the thinking..
adios

Well Holder is all science, never seems to have a hunch, and try to pull a rabbit out of a habit.
Seems to follow the exact same plan every match
In reply to DIEHARD no Pyman, think tank back to normal.
In reply to DIEHARD
Holder is also a bit too conservative for my tastes, that that seems to be the trend among international captains nowadays. I don't have a problem with him not trying Carter as much as I have a problem with the number of overs Roach bowled.
In reply to Walco
looked very good whilst Pyman was in charge.
Times??!!!

Looked very good against Ireland too. But yeah, I remember well our stellar performance in the T20s against England
In reply to Walco And how many matches has he captained in T20?
