Batting with Gayle he won't get as much value for his shots as it relates to rotation of strike.
Gayle has become more consistent as he's gotten older, to add to his fire power. Teams regularly get 300+ scores so we need Lewis as well to do same. Hope at 3. Hetty at 4, Allen 5, Russell 6, Holder 7, Nurse 8, Roach 9, Cottrell 10, Gabriel 11

No. Lewis is more suited to open with Gayle because they are both boundary hitters. Hope runs singles and in the past has shown frustration while batting with Gayle. It will be tough to leave out Campbell from the WC squad if he scores heavily in the next three matches in Ireland.

I know but hopefully Lewis will hang around for a bit. Some people were cussing Hope the other day for throwing up his arms in frustration after Gayle turned down a single. Batting with Gayle could force Hope to try to hit more boundaries an out himself.
