Could bat anywhere plus had good 50 over tournament and some good innings in the 4day competition and plays spin really well .

He did not disappeared he still play CPL and super 50 and recently made a comeback to 4 day cricket it looks like the selectors just forget about him

One of the best talents in the region. Thisis what happens to guys who believe they have arrived tho and then thier stick falls. Quite sad as he's an excellent batsman

Yes West Indies cricket suffered, yes they were slighted by the board

Simmons was constantly injured after he became a much sought after t20 player. An indication his hunger had waned and he probably wasn't working as hard as he should. He camr back had a series of low scores and suddenly his stock fell. He should have known he was never on the level of the stars where t20 is concerned.
