I always have a good laugh when people say stuff like this and then I look at what is to come.
I am here to talk Track and Field. I make no apologies for ignoring idiots, low information folks and people with agendas not related to T&F.
IAAF World Relays 2019
Thanks Yadi. This one kind of crept up on me, even though I heard SAFP and Elaine in interviews today.
The preliminary round of the womens and mens 4x400m will also be contested tomorrow (Saturday) at 5:05 a.m. and 5:40 a.m, respectively.

Jamaica win the first hurdles shuttle relay heat in 55.47. Good third leg by Megan Tapper. Second Japan, third Australia.
Straight into the final.
In reply to mikesiva
Thanks Mike been watching since it started. Well worth getting up to see.
Francis was struggling a bit in the straight. I hope he has more in store. I suspect Nathan Allen did not show us all he has.
Reminds me that June 20 - 23 is Ja Nat Champs (Snr and Jnr). Trying to see how I can be there.

First three legs were poor, starting with Day. Gordon only just kept us in it on the final leg, only just squeezing into the final as the fastest loser.

BTW did you see the women from Papau New Guinea? Not usually seen on the T&F world stage.
Always good to see wild women!
Oh... Jamaica.....
In reply to Headley
Some shocking baton changes, first between ET and Steph, and then between SAFP to Shericka.

I hope I never see Steph Mc Pherson on a 200m team again. She is too highly strung for those relay changes. She can barely get it done on a 400m team.
Result: We depleted the 400m team and ended with neither fish nor fowl. Steph back to the 400m team. Le Roy to the 200m.
USA disqualified.... again...Jamaica third.
In reply to cherri
The US are the only ones with worse baton changes than us....
Women's sprint relay final
1) USA 43.27
2) Jamaica 43.29

Better baton changes by both the Americans and the Jamaicans....

Just saw the T&T race on Soca Music TV Fabcebook but to be honest Cedenio has done this come back heroics more than once in the past so I am not surprised. Look back to T&T relay win in the 2017 4 x 400 World Champs final

National Athletics Snr and Jnr Championships June 20 -23 Kingston Jamaica. Kiara Grant, Brianna Williams, lots of questions to be answered.
In reply to Headley
who you betting on ? Brianna or Kevona?
In reply to Headley
Man I was so upset I shut off the TV. Nuff said.
They shut down Donkey man and put Mc in his place. What a change of fortune with Cedeno and Francis. Both were the regions best young talent at one point.Very impressive run by the Trinidadian.
In reply to rudebway
Kevona, if healthy
In reply to Lenks
i agree. And she looks healthy. at the Penn Relays, the first leg runner missed her on the hand off. Kevona ran down Ashanti moore the class 1 champion. those clarendon girls are no joke. I dont even blame the 1st leg runner Serena Cole, because she is a little baby
In reply to RoyalDad
just watching these replays now..that 4*2 was comical. look on the bright side. Shelly Ann and Elaine look good, and hopefully Elaine is fully injury free. Joneille Smith ran a nice anchor on the 4*1. Bloomfield ran a nice leg. And Rushout actually ran a nice lg. Gotta give him credit, cause i bash him when he sucks. Cedenio was out of this world. Tiffany James looked good. Dont know what the splits were but she looked the best. Gordon ran good running blind in lane 8.
on the bad side... Nesta and that 4*1 are done.

The ladies looking up now with Jonielle making good strides. Solid effort by her to almost bring back Hobbs. The whole team performed well. Overall, the women carrying the baton well into the next decade. Ato said it best, the men just have not been able to transition to the next level.
Bloomfield, Allen and yes Mc did well. Gaye needs to step up. Don't know if he can do any better. Have to wait on Taylor, Glassesman and Carpenter to come through.
The women 4x4 did well too. Nice to see Gordon back. James from Papine( I believe ) ran a monster leg. Good things to come. With Jackson and Steph,we should look good for Tokyo.
