Everyone knows Barca and Real are two of the greatest football clubs in the world but we are talking about the competitiveness of the respective leagues here. What is so difficult to understand?
La Liga is all about those two clubs. When was the last time a club not named Real or Barca won La Liga. Occasionally Athletico would step up and come between those two but it has continuously been these two at the top for eons.
Having 4 teams in the finals of the Champions and Europa Leagues demonstrates the strength and depth of the Premier League....This is unprecedented. This is not about disparaging La Liga, it is just a fact.
The EPL is also the most entertaining and best watched football league across the planet.

As I recall Sevilla won Europa 3 times recently.
Sevilla beat Liverpool in Europe to win one of those titles.
Valencia has also dominated in Europe.
Ath Bilboa defeated Man United in Europe.
Because the league is competitive doesn't make it the best... that's subjective.
Could be a league full of average teams..
What I use to judge the best league is the technical skills you find in the players... Also, the standard of football and the level of play. M
Spanish football has the players with most technical skills in opinion.
I appreciate that a lot of ppl watch the EPL.
I watch it as well. I watch football from all over the world.
But.... to me, La Liga football teams are more technically skilled. Thus, it's the better league.
That's subjective as well, but I appreciate your point of view.

Come on man. It can't be an average League if it is putting multiple teams in the finals of Europa and Champions League.
In fact the reason that LA Liga wins so many of these titles is my point regarding the point system...it is easier to win when you are fighting on one front...ie the top teams in LA Liga have it so easy in their club matches, they are only tested when playing the tournaments.
While EPL elite are fighting constantly!
La Liga is the Eastern Conference...EPL is Western!

If the EPL is so competitive they should be winning European competition easily because they have superior teams, they don't.
How many times have English teams won a European competitions in the last two decades... Maybe 3 or 4 times, as far as I can remember.
La Liga has many more titles within that period. Madrid, Barcelona, Ath Madrid, Seville and Valencia all have won titles within that period, some of these teams have won multiple titles in succession.
ManU, Chelsea and Liverpool... The only EPL teams to have won any European competitions within that period.
An entertaining league but not the best, in my opinion.

3 teams does not a league make...name the la Liga teams that are consistently winning the European Championships.

And I just listed all the Spanish teams that have dominated European football in the last two decades.
Competition doesn't make it entertaining, for me... Watching guys boot a football up field and the other guys chase it is boring.
Technical skills an ability is entertaining to me.
That is why I rate La Liga as the best.
