Is this the Windies WC bowling attack?
Allen and Nurse 2 waste of space in one match

Hasn Ireland piled on de runs against a better WI attack? Allyu getting on like is only one team playing

Any bowling attack with Nurse in it is suspect.
In the mean while England is hammering the Pakistani attack, Butler has a century is 50 balls. It look like in the spring time conditions are good for batting.
Yes, this is our WC bowling attack, minus Thomas. It looks quite toothless....
I don't agree with the assessment about our bowling attack. Not to say that they compare with say India, Australia or England. But our fast bowlers can compete.
Then again with that spin attack who am I to argue
CWI need to hunt the region for young wrist spinners and nurture the few that they might find that actually bounce and turn. Properly coach and develop them to have zip & dip on their ball. Hire Rashid Khan as a consultant while he is here (hopefully) playing CPL. Ask him what is the optimum velocity on his delivery that gets him most wickets?
West Indies needs a bowler like Rashid Khan or Imran Tahir.
To All Bishoo defenders: He does not have the zip, nor the dip, nor the bounce and he barely turns the leg break. Zero googly!

That may be so but that delivery to dismiss the Aussie wicketkeeper in DA is stuck in my mind. That delivery was Warne-like.
Now i expect the "Even a broken clock is right twice a day" retort.

Our pace bowlers can only compete on pitches that suit them. They looked decidedly ordinary today. In the Caribbean, you can bowl short and get wickets. Not so much in this part of the world.
The last two matches they kept bowling short on slow placid pitches and they were pulled to the boundary time and time again.
In reply to mikesiva
Yeah they've not bowl for the conditions for these slow, low wickets.
Shouldn't be the same in England but definitely a concern though
In reply to InHindsight
Our pace bowlers simply don't have the skills to be metronomic on pitches which do not offer them any assistance. Ambrose would have been just short of a good length hitting top of off stump on this pitch.
Holder bowled very few balls in his entire spell on such a length. Reifer started well but he lost his patience on that length when he did not take wickets.
Chase will never be a successful bowler in ODIs with this current level of off spin skills. He simply has no idea where to pitch the ball and must develop a concealed arm ball for variety.
In Cotterel's second spell he improved a bit.
Gabriel does nothing with the ball.
Roach delivers the ball too late so he goes down leg side far too often.
Best bowler on show today A. Nurse. But I must say he was gifted his wickets. But there were times he landed it perfectly to the LHB.

paper attack
WI pace attack don't look threatening in UK pitches compare to when they play in Caribbean pitches
In reply to Courtesy
I expect things to suit us slightly better on the ICC prepared wickets of the WC
In reply to Realsteel remember for awhile we never looked good on West Indian pitches. We have just begun to prepare better pitches.

And pitches that suit our bowling.
A plug in for the work of Kent Crafton
In reply to InHindsight so I ask, are English pitches known to not have pace and bounce?
