Well done...Ambris

Nobody go on Chrissy thread..dont give it power evil

DIEHARD 2019-05-11 15:52:20

Ever since that first innings against England in 2017, he looked every bit the part in ODIS..he could be the closest thing we've had to a Sarwan since...rotates strike so easily, always scoring faster than he appears to, without cowlashing

Good on Ambris, and only in his 3rd at bat.

Now that we have 3 tonners so far in the series, who's next, Bravo?

Good first ton but this is Ireland we dealing with higher standards. He needs to convert this into a bigger ton!

Nice of you to wait until the most opportune time. Coming in earlier would've proved devastating.

Just kidding, VOR. Nice to see you.

Many cant score like this against same Ireland.

He's always looked the part, Lil B's place may be in danger, lets see how Campbell and Ambris look against better opposition..but they definitely raising their hands to be first choice selections to the ODI team

When I said this a year or so ago, I got a lot of licks on here for it.

Really? When you said that about Ambris?

I only seen him bat at international level, and he looked so comfortable in his first ODI, and his List A stats have always been among the best in the region.

That injury definitely derailed his career

I was going to start a thread to say once again: when it comes to cricket on the field, you are, without question, the best poster in this forum. Further, you always come across as very objective.

voiceofreason 2019-05-11 16:15:04

In reply to jen

Yes you compared him to Root based on his ability to rotate the strike not his stats which btw there is nothing to compare. I recall Duncera was the one who went at you.

Hey Droopsy what a gwaan? When last you see Marlon Samuels?

jen 2019-05-11 16:26:05

When I suggested that Shai Hope should open in ODIs, I got licks for it too. Now watch what Hope doing in that position!!

Cornfused 2019-05-11 16:27:03

Congrats Ambris well done , we need to see this among better teams as well

Only seen him once. That's when I met him on the stairway to the then Cable and Wireless office in a mall in New Kingston.

I wasn't impressed.

Good batsman though, but it would've helped if he had gotten the people around him to like him.

Ray123 2019-05-11 16:31:11

Well done Sunil get a big one

VoopsandOut 2019-05-11 16:42:26

Well done to Ambris. I was there in Ireland for first two matches and it was just the lapse in concentration after the waterbreak that did him in against Bangladesh. He looked very comfortable otherwise. I agree that Darren Bravo's world cup place should justifiably be in danger right now. it is a pity that Campbell is not playing (is he injured?) as it would be useful to see if his spin is at least as ineffective as that of Chase and Nurse. Big up for Chase with his batting as well in these two matches. For those who say that Hope and Ambris have to be tested against the big guns, please remember that it is not that they are ducking the big guns, WI is simply not getting a chance to play against them!

I see you're expressing your glee that Gayle is no longer part of your Leewards setup.

Bonner gone, Samuels gone, and now Gayle. Hope you'll now get to play in other than the toilet bowl.

Well Done Sunil , continue to improve
your abilities . To get even better ,
You need to buy a Bowling Machine machine , and use it often .

I am sure that You are well aware that
Players from the Windward Islands do not get many chances to demonstrate
their Skills .

The onus is on YOU to ensure that your
cricket abilities especially in Batting are always in the
minds of the Selectors .

In reply to Drapsey

Please find out how many Players from the Windward Islands got opportunities
to be on the West Indies Team ?????

I like to deal in Freaking Facts . So
here is a pertinent one for You and those of your Ilk .

Some years ago the WICBC sent an under
19 Team to England to play a 5 Test
series . In that series the Best Batsman was adjudges to be Devon Smith based on his Performances .

The Best Bowler was adjudged to be
Kenroy Peters also based on his Performances .

Interestingly in those 5 Under 19 Test Matches was a Guy whose name is
James Anderson , who is currently rated as the second best Pace Bowler
in England .

I cite this to illustrate the fact
that while the England harnessed &
honed the talents of James Anderson.

Kenroy Peters was discarded , and to
ease their conciousness , he was selected to represent the West Indies in 1 Freakiing Test Match .

So Please spare me Your BULL****
BTW , Kenroy Peters is employed in Australia , playing & Coaching .

You can seek solice in the fact that
Your thinking is in line wth most People in the Region .

POINT, Devon played 43 tests and 47 ODIs.

$ammy, who came up a little later, was preferred to Peters, the two effectively had similar offerings.

Let me also inform those who are oblivious of this freaking fact :

THE FIRST BLACK PLAYER TO BE ON A

WEST INDIES TEAM TO TOUR ENGLAND WAS

CHARLES AGUSTUS OLLIVIERRE , A

VINCENTIAN .

He decided to stay in England , and lived in Derbyshire .Because of his prowess in Cricket. In Derbyshire
were he lived He was called King Charlie .

I always relish silencing My Critics!!!!!!
