West Indies have won the toss and have elected to bat. They don't have Shannon Gabriel in their line-up today. In his place comes Raymon Reifer, the left-arm fast bowler and lower order batsman.
Cousin Floyd presented Raymon with his cap....

West Indies vs Bangladesh, ODI
West Indies 29/0 after 4 overs. Ambris striking the ball well.
In reply to cricketmad
Ambris out caught in the slips for 23, trying to run Mortaza down to third man.
Bravo in early. A chance for him to get some runs.
In reply to mikesiva
He fell for the trap after narrowly avoiding it the previous delivery. He threw his wicket away when he was looking set for another big score.
Ok Bravo, shut those %$%$% up now.
In reply to Drapsey
Darren tried to get out there...dolly dropped.
Bravo really looks out of touch. Please grow your confidence again.
In reply to solidrock
Bravo and Lewis are very rusty.
What are going to do with Bravo?
In reply to Seechy
Miraz strikes! Bravo out lbw for six...looked plumb.
In reply to solidrock
Send him back to re-learn to bat.
Time for me to do something else
This bating is BOOOOOOOORRRRRIIIINNNGGG.
Facking Shai Poke.
In reply to TanteMerle
Chase gave it away for 19...three down.
In reply to mikesiva
Really poor batting by Chase. That ball should have been hit straight.
Jonathan Carter.
I hope I never see him in West Indies Colours after this tour.
In reply to Courtesy
Carter looked to be struggling here...out lbw to a ball that might just have been going down leg. Out for three from 14 balls.
Players like Carter are a poor reflection on West Indies cricket.
In reply to TanteMerle
It's too early to be drinking strong spirits...
In reply to solidrock
windies walk with ah lot of waste
out Lbw!! Second wicket of the match for the Fizz - he means business today. J Carter lbw b Mustafizur 3
In reply to mikesiva
I think it was clipping. Initially I thought it was going down leg but it appeared to straighten.
But more importantly, Jonathan Carter never had anything to offer.
In reply to Courtesy
wi 100-4
In reply to Courtesy
Carter looked terrible...
Man floating lollies to Jason now and saying "look you can hit this one." Granny batting from Jason.
Spin bowling for West Indies is like a cross put in front of a devil.
In reply to hotarobin
He has never, never impressed me. He simply cannot bat.
Poor cricket by West Indies all around. Bangladesh isn't really doing anything special...
In reply to hotarobin
This should have been a festival game for West Indies and we are making heavy weather of it.
Spin bowlers now making fun of Jason.
I said it on another thread that all teams should play all their spinners on the squad against West Indies and even bowl their part time spinners.
And not even a whisper from the men in charge of the team.
I remind my friends Bagla is playing a very strong eleven. We are playing a second eleven against them.

The World Cup is going to a long, hard one for us West Indies fans....
Shai gets his half-century.
In reply to mikesiva
That's why we need to temper our expectation. Memories of the last ODI World Cup are still vivid.
In reply to Courtesy
Members of the last ODI World Cup are still livid.!
In reply to StumpCam
In reply to solidrock
I half-agree with you....
Our bowling attack is the same, barring Thomas. That worries me....
Our batting includes Bravo, Shai and Holder, who are playing today. Bravo is struggling, while Shai is making runs, though his strike rate is still a concern for me. Two of the batsmen who do seem to be flourishing on this tour, Ambris and Campbell, won't be going to England.
It sounds like we're depending a bit too heavily on players who are not playing here, such as Gayle, Lewis, Hetmyer, Pooran, Carlos and Russell. When will they start getting used to these conditions?
West Indies 148-4 after 34 overs.
Finally, a six!
37.2
Mustafizur Rahman to Hope, SIX runs, there's the first of the game. Took em long enough! And it's a peach too. For half a second, it seems Hope is cramped up. As if he can't get a full swing of the bat through a ball on his hips. But he goes through with the pick-up shot and it lands well over the boundary at midwicket. Outstanding timing, really.
In reply to mikesiva
I would drop Bravo like a hot potato. Hope is in some serious ODI form. Hopefully it carries over to the World Cup.
It's going to be very difficult for WI to remain in the World Cup. WI can find themself knocked out of the World Cup within the first 4 matches against very tough opposition (Pakistan, Australia, England, and SA).
In reply to Cardiac
Hope's form won't last. He didn't have a great series against England.
In reply to Seechy
Holder gets his half-century off 67 balls....
The hundred partnership comes up.
Hope caught behind for 87 from 108.
130 dot balls so far in the inning! Not encouraging!
In reply to StumpCam
Holder gone. This is a sh!t total.
In reply to StumpCam
Holder out for 62 from 76...almost a replica of the Hope dismissal.
Allen out lbw for seven. Was that sliding down leg? Either way, Allen hasn't really shown us any reason why he deserves to be in the World Cup squad ahead of Campbell and Ambris.
Unlucky mate. This was going down leg.
The way this is going we are going to be beaten easily by Bangla
In reply to Courtesy
There is no way that ball could have hit leg stump. Terrible umpiring
Please remind me why our 8 players missing here could not have left IPL 2-3 weeks ago? This is a rhetorical question?
In reply to solidrock
Or rather, why are they not here now? In fact, Carlos is already in Ireland. He was in the stands watching the match on Saturday. Since Carlos only played two or three matches in the IPL, why isn't he getting used to playing in Irish conditions, which are very similar to those in England?
Why are the IPL players not playing in some of these matches in Ireland now? The only batsmen getting batting practice in these conditions are Bravo, Hope and Holder. And it doesn't seem to be helping Bravo....
In reply to mikesiva
Very well said.
In reply to solidrock
Lol...at least we qualify for the finals before them
So leh we call that a dead rubber
Bowling 1 four ball an over here, seems we need to revisit the new ball pair.
Excellent opening pair for Bangla and Das sits in the wings to replace any of them as openers.
In reply to solidrock Roach making them look good.
What is Nurse to do as first change bowler? Change the big flow of runs or take a wicket?. That is sort of funny.
He took a wicket. Wow!!!!!!!!!!
In reply to solidrock crow eating time.
I know there are two left-handers batting. But, please explain why Chase is being used before Allen?
In reply to solidrock captains decision?
Instead of 3wkts down
I know Bagla should win, but so easily? Truth be told Bangla can chase most team scores unless they are facing minimum 325.
Congrats to Nurse he has taken three.
Thought you guys said we had no spinners?
If we can get our fielding back up to the England series level, we will hold our own in this WC.
Point:
the man you should have ran out:
Bowling of the pacers leaves a lot to be desired
IMHO Bang should be 20 runs less for 6 wkts.
Wicket. Well bowed Holder.
Bang's RR has not gone below 5. Need more wickets.
Come on lads we can turn this around ,it's not a joke.
Missed runout several dropped catches ...last one by the keeper...Hope is a batsman
Let Bangla fight for every run.
We have been thoroughly beaten again. We should have our first team play the final.
In reply to solidrock we again lost it in the field.
In reply to mikesiva
More like Bim vs. Bangladesh.
I guess we will win the final these other matches are just experiments
