Can we realistically drop Bravo

brians_da_best 2019-05-13 13:43:16

From the world cup team? And replace him with Campbell or Ambris?

Cornwall and Ambris should be added. Cornwall for Nurse for sure. Just not a debate on this. Cornwall's bowling is more accurate and tight. Not to mention his height could cause more bounce. Nurse just brings nothing to the table in comparison. Injures have really set back Ambris. Seems like a young bat on the rise. Really like when you can perform away from home conditions.

Looks like you have another Trini on your hit-list.

And what about JC?

pariaman 2019-05-13 13:53:31

Bravo unlike those players you mention is a big game player

He will surely come good once the world cup starts.

Ambris has only made runs against Ireland and is unproven at this level

close to the wicket. The kid isn't the greatest fielder but the trade off in runs and containment, which will be our downfall, is more needed than Nurse's inconsistencies . You also giving a young player some international experience.

Like Campbell and saw him as a youth and like his approach from then. Just wish he would keep the ball on the ground more.

Lol

Don't mean to belabor this but yes, this guy has only played England, Ireland and Bangladesh thru no fault of his own. His average is 82.33 and has a strike of 111.26. Ambris has hit one six in all his innings, he basically isn't a power hitter. Meaning there are very few dot balls in his innings. Something sorely being missed in the WI camp.

Bravo in over 100 odis has 3 hundreds and is about to have his average below 30

Time to move on

Realsteel 2019-05-13 16:07:37

If bravo is to be drop no way cambell or ambris could take his place with only one good innings each in their career that just madness

Let them drop lil B and angel

Lets see how a Trini less team will compete at the WC?

This team will get their rass kicked a few times in this WC.

If they make 6th place dem lucky.

razz razz razz razz

natty_forever 2019-05-13 16:38:19

In reply to sgtdjones … even with them 2, suh what's the deal?

sgtdjones 2019-05-13 19:27:06

No big deal natty

The team will still get a beating.

If they play the Trini's will be castigated on this forum.

natty_forever 2019-05-13 19:34:23

In reply to sgtdjones … well Bravo form does not give confidence. However, there will be surfaces and teams that the Angel will be an asset on/against.
