Getting at least three 40+ batsman is needed in modern ODI. Even better when you get a 50+ one. We need another 40+ and we'll be more competitive.

Hetty also averages over 40

West Indies has to get comfortable putting up scores of 380 - 400+ and chasing the same on pitches that allow it. This game is a perfect example of such a game. We should make no less than 380. Too often however, we fall like pin after excellent starts and end up squandering the opportunity.

I recall all the tongue lashing Hope got early on in his ODI career.

The selectors saw a good player and persisted with him and he has paid off in short time.


I'm waiting to see Hetty mature as well.
