Should we fire Coach Reifer now?

Larr Pullo 2019-05-17 18:43:24

Or wait until they crash out of the WC?

Reifer just keeping seat warm for Phil. Tragic that to appease a few people short term, we had to unsettle WC management.

They should fire him now...and while dey at it let he cayh long all the Bajans wid he....FIRE HIM.....FIRE HIS Bajan ass NOW. Only gine stop the west Indies from winning the world cup...

If the pitches continued to be flat pitches, then the WI could be in trouble, as the present bowlers are the same ones that are going to be in the WC, I think Reifer have a headache to deal with.

Thought that would be the bowling coach problem?

pariaman 2019-05-17 20:44:50

West won its last series in 2014

This was in the West Indies

Since then we have been beaten in 2 series by Bangladesh

We are just playing thru to form

We were ranked above Ireland and below Bangladesh coming into the Tri-nation

Tru to form!

We must give the new dispensation a chance to improve our standing

So true. no spark at all for the entire series. Just really the batting of Hope and Ambris have prevented complete embarassment. I am sorry for Reifer as coach but the guys just seem to be doing nothing under him, unlike in the previous series. Hopefully this may be a wake up call for him to change strategy.

The previous series was at home

We always play better at home

We never travel well

Gayle was the standout batsman against England in the last series

He was missing here

I reserve judgment until we have our full team

The bowling coach problem is also the head coach problem because he will be blamed if the team does not perform

SS Cottrell
JO Holder
CR Brathwaite
O Thomas
AR Nurse

Bowled out the mighty England for 113.

Well that might be a clue re the bowling attack to use, ex Roach and Gabriel...

Include Thompson and Carlos...

natty_forever 2019-05-17 23:52:44

In reply to DIEHARD … we need a replacement for Nurse. He bowled 4 for 24 0 wicket. And a facking liability in the field. As weak as we look right now, if we up our fielding we then can beat any team.

We do not always play better at home. England white-washed us at home in an ODI series 2 or 3 years ago

Yes they did it on a fast bouncy pitch, it look like special effort and planning were made to prepare flat pitches this season for the WC.
