They did a nice piece on asking a journalist/correspondent from every participating country about their WC predictions.
But guess what? No West Indian journalist/correspondent was asked but at least 3 Indians were included

CRICINFO BLANKS WEST INDIES?
In reply to Emir
The two West Indian journalists in Cozier and Becca died. No one left to represent.
In reply to Drapsey
Well Cozier for sure was an international figure and a cricket icon as well as a CRICINFO correspondent. I won't say anything on the other person, as I believe you must be silent if you cannot say anything good about a deceased person.
Fazeer, Vanesia and a couple others from the region are correspondents.
Not sure why they were not asked, but it is curious.
In reply to Emir
Ah dead man feels nothing and can tell no tales. If people had as much respect for the live as the dead, the world would be a better place.
In reply to Emir
Cozier, albeit a 'Born Barbajan', lived in Trinidad so you have respect for him along with the other Trinis you mentioned, Fazeer and Vanesia.
Tricinfo always disrespecting WI. I said it. Fool stop.
In reply to Emir
Fazeer is busy every morning on ME on CCN TV6 in T&T. I watched him everyday...Last week he was discussing with a local scholar the Bhojpuri language used locally ....talking about 'poohar' people
In reply to Narper
Good to see you, Narper.
So the real story goes back much farther, to when Cricinfo was setting up Portals for the major cricket playing nations...
In reply to Drapsey
Thanks man
I am back
In reply to Larr Pullo
And let me guess. The Big IDIOT didn't have the wherewithal to take advantage of whatever offering was available.
Oh, that Big IDIOT again!
In reply to Narper
Narps you back bro, if it is true you loss you mother in law- then please accept my condolences and sorry for your loss.
Welcome back.
This is a nice topic, would love to get the tape
In reply to Emir
Actually it was my father-in-law...he was 89...former local cricket umpire and great cricket fan...although he had lost interest in WI cricket the last few years
In reply to Drapsey
I think that decision was made by the WI marketing Jeffe. Wonder who that was?

It was a nice morning session...I don't recall the name of Fazeer's guest who was the expert on the topic....he gave so many examples of words and phrases I have heard growing up in Guyana and Trinidad
