They are mad at the Republicans because in spite of the obvious the Republicans continue to ally with Trump for Political gain.
So then they look to the Democrats to abide by the Constitution and hold Trump responsible. You would expect they would since they are his opponents anyway.

I have to agree with your initial sentiment.
It’s very obvious that Democrats lack the bloody mindedness of Republicans, who are all about maintaining power at all cost - gerrymandering, packing the Courts, restricting voting in minority areas, changing the rules when it suits them and now, under Trump, to hell with customs and precedents.
So, I am always asking myself why do people and/or groups behave in a certain way.
The backbone of the Democratic is its progressive base and its black and minority coalitions, yet it is still dominated by a white power structure.
Now, the Republican Party is all about maintaining white power and supremacy, as minority groups grow in numbers and naturally demand influence.
So I have to ask myself, as Republicans continue to conduct themselves the way they are doing, if white Democrats have the same urgency and concerns like the members of their minority coalitions.
I can go deeper into my concerns, but I’ll leave it at that for the time being.
