when he was 19 years old and got away with that crime and went on to live and exemplary lifestyle with a wife, kids and grandkids.

Would you put that person in prison, if he was caught 40 years later?

What is it was 60 years later?

Would it make a difference?

If a person can be exonerated 40 years after being jailed based on new evidence or advanced technology, then the opposite should apply based on the same criteria .....

no difference...even 1 hundred.. Nazi war criminals are still being prosecuted if found...

again...is the victim's life worthless...

ask yourself this, what if the victim was a friend, child, parent, sibling

What would be the smoking gun evidence not available 40 years ago?

That person could have changed identity.

Someone with knowledge of the crime finally came forward.

Better cold case investigators.

Overlooked evidence.

Yes, I have seen cases where DNA went back twenty-something years but 40 years is a long time.

It's possible with properly preserved evidence.

In reply to black Shoite! Bai, you & I should be pals! Almost, everyday, I have to watch atmost 1 episode. I think, I have seen them all. When that particular episode is on, I re-watch it. I have, even, got my wife to watch it! I just like American law enforcement's dogged approach - them detectives dont give up, boi. They pass on cases to the incoming young fellas, when they retire!!!
