ST. JOHN’S, Antigua – Nine players set to feature for West Indies “A” in their upcoming home series against India “A” next month are among 15 players chosen to attend a Cricket West Indies High Performance training camp, starting Monday, June 17, aimed at enhancing their red-ball cricket skills.
Test fast bowler Shermon Lewis and recovering international all-rounder Rovman Powell head the list of playersattending the training camp which runs until the end of the month at the West Indies High Performance Centre (WIHPC), Coolidge Cricket Ground, Antigua.
The other players are rookie Jamaica Scorpions pair of off-spinner Akim Fraser and batsman Brandon King, Trinidad & Tobago Red Force pair of left-arm spinner Khary Pierre and left-handed opener Jeremy Solozano, Guyana Jaguars pair of all-rounder Sherfane Rutherford and pacer Romario Shepherd, as well as Barbados Pride fast bowler Chemar Holder, a member of the West Indies Under-19 World Cup-winning squad of 2016.
