Why is Phil ALWAYS involved in situations like these?
Nobody cares about the truth behind the burka
I was wondering the same thing
It all unraveled so fast for this team.
They haven't played in English conditions. They qualified from Zimbabwe, and of all the teams have lacked the most match practice in England.
Their selection process, including the sacking of Asghar Afghan, wasn't received well by the star players in the side.
It's no secret that coach Simmons has actively courted the West Indies looking for a recall.
The Mohammad Shahaz drama.
Not a good tournament for the newest Full Member squad.
And now the potential for more drama from Simmons? Good lord.

Afghan culture is chaotic, so this has nothing to do with Phil, but once it affected him, he took principled stand, so while it may seem controversy follows him, the fact is he stands up when another coach would have kept his mouth shut.
Just like Mikey Arthur does despite the turmoil in Pak. It why he is so liked by his players.

Chaotic as it is this is one time that Phil needs to keep his mouth shut
All this, comess serves no purpose
In reply to Emir
How could he not know what he was getting to?
Phil biggest mistake was to leave Ireland
In reply to Narper
That is all irrelevant to the facts here.
He completed his Irish mission with much success and ditto for Afghanistan, a country and culture that does not deserve him and a set of massively ungrateful neemakarams
