Pathetic, lame no brains in d captain's head , not knowing your role both as a batsman and a bowler.
Coaches that are picked without a proving ground.
Selectors who were mediocre in their playing days are now elevated to the most important position in a team .
Captain chosen on a ho hum by another who mas maybe trying to make sure we never reach his heights.
Some of the better players in the region not picked because of archaic rules etc.
All IPL players should have been automatically eligible because India made sure their
stars' were rested and picked. Unlike us who punished them instead.
Our captain is still clueless after being in the position for so long. He still cannot outhink an opposition. Neither set a field to trap a batsman nor set a field to create a wicket. He himself is mediocre thinking his ODI rating will help him on the field. He is ordinary.
Gayle and Russell both are failing but the selectors cannot see this. We need drastic changes to the team just to finish 7th much less 9th. i do not see us even beating Afghanistan since Holder MARKED that game. Simmo will be waiting for the Waste Indies.

I agree Dwayne Bravo should have been made captain and Pollard the vice. It's just pathetic eh!

Wasteundies will not win against Afghanistan and they will finish at the bottom of the table.

The entire ODI team needs to be revisited. Don’t blame the players, go after the selectors. They sent a spinner that the captain down not have confidence in, they sent injured player to bowl quick....the incompetence continues. It’s only been 25 years and counting!!!

Maybe that’s all they have, so they are limited in that sense. Clearly the talent and Development is lacking ...for balance though, another spinner, just in case one was not working out, and definitely no room for a injured player.
Even Gayle’s selection was “iffy”. As an opener he cannot rotate the strike, and that puts a lot of pressure on the other batsmen, plus he is not a good fielder. Clearly he is well past his ODI shelf life. The greatest T20 player/entertainer I do give him his due.

this has not been noticeable this WC and with each match I have seen an effort by Gayle to take more singles. One or 2 of his partners have been struggling to find the gaps.
