Kawhi Leonard did not accept a free vacation to Barbados. A spokeswoman for BTMI Canada, the tourism board, said they did not sponsor Leonard’s “personal vacation” in any way. BTMI had offered a free trip it he agreed to stay with the Toronto Raptors. The offer still stands.

Last year when news of the possibility of Kawhi going to Toronto broke I said it was the best basketball move and if the team responds it could very much play into Kawhi remaining with the team...

I still believe staying in the East is the best option.

If Kawhi leaves it will be because of his ties to LA...

It is the moron who thinks Kawhi stays because Toronto is better than LA...

If Kawhi goes with his heart, it will be LA.

If he uses his head it will be Toronto.

He has signed a deal with a private jet company in Toronto...could be good news for the Team...unless that jet company is looking for LA business and playing the odds....

This is Ayenmol reporting... stay tuned.

L.A. would be the better move but starting a winning dynasty in Toronto would be legendary.

He will try to cement his legacy and go for that repeat championship in Tronoto, I believe.

This is his second championship...he also won Finals mvp on San Antonio ...

There's really not much to cement.

Wherever he goes will be a contender...but Toronto is already built for him and his skills plus the built in advantages.

LA is about fulfilling his childhood dream and marketing.

The only problem I see with Toronto is this...there is a thin line between love and hate...he has an injury history.

If he signs big, gets hurt, refuses to take the court well past the drs clearing him and the team is losing, what will the response be?

When an entire Nation's sports identity rest on your shoulders, things can sour quickly.

I knew all that but thanks.

Repeating as champ in the NBA is dynasty basketball.

It's what all the greats strive for. I don't think he will give up that opportunity next season.

That's all i'm saying.

He missed 22 games this past season. Could you please point us to where you saw any 'grumblings' and sourness! big grin

I think this season and the San An debacle are quite different. To get called out by Pop and TP and have a team who generally acts as a team not support Kawhi was a little worrying.

However I will agree there is no evidence to support what Ayenmol is hypothesizing.
