You may born in the US, but visit an African American family home or function & let them get to know that your parents are immigrants...their perspective of you immediately changes.

Kamala Harris grew up with her Asian mother, her parent separated when she was a child, so culturally it would be interesting to know which culture has influenced her more apart from American culture.

She would have had to embrace her black heritage at the time she was growing up. I don't know for sure but she probably didn't meet a lot of Indians during that time.
